Aloha! I’m Tika and I’m a 4 year old, 40lb female Hound mix! I would do better in a quieter neighborhood with less bustle. No apartments, please. I need to go to a home with other dogs to help me find my footing. In my ideal world I would have a brother who likes to play but doesn’t mind sharing. My perfect home will have no children or cats. So, what do you think? Could I be the one for you? Fill out an application today to set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, microchipped and spayed with an adoption fee of $450.

Here comes a kitty who’s sure to rev up your motor! Vroom is a 1-year-old boy who adores making new friends– he’s got a hankering for cheek rubs and compliments. When you meet him, he will stretch out and strike a pose before approaching you with his purring engine going. While he’s certainly an affable sort of kitty, he’s not the biggest fan of kiddos or other cats, so he’ll need to be your main squeeze. But we think Vroom’s got enough purrsonality to keep you entertained! If you’d like to go on the road with this handsome man, you can fill out an application to set up a meet and greet. Vroom will come to you neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for an adoption fee of $100.

If you are looking for the dreamiest lap cat there ever was, Konner is your Kat! We believe Konner Kat is somewhere between 3-5 years old, and while he started off as a stray, he really enjoyed staying with the good samaritans who found him in their compost bin one fateful day. They discovered that they had stumbled upon the sweetest kitty in the universe! Konner loves to make air biscuits while you rub his fluffy tummy, as well as purr like a maniac while you kiss his forehead. He also gets along well with other kitties who are as chill as he is.

Konner Kat is FIV+. This means that he has a lower immune system than other kitties. The latest consensus in the veterinary world is that FIV+ cats can cohabitate with kitties who are FIV-, so long as they are calm and get along with each other; FIV is transmitted through bite wounds, not through shared spaces or casual contact. Kitties with FIV can still live long, happy, and healthy lives with regular vet visits, limited outdoor access, and lots of love. If you have questions about FIV, please feel free to email us! We are happy to answer any questions about caring for FIV+ cats that potential adopters may have. Konner Kat deserves a home as loving as he is, and we want to make sure that his FIV status isn’t a barrier to finding his forever home. 💚

If you think Konner Kat is the boy of your dreams, you can fill out an application to set up a meet and greet. He’ll come to you neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Well, if it isn’t Odey, the rootinest tootinest eight-year-old Chiweenie to ever be! This sweet mature man may only be sixteen pounds, but his silly smile lights up the whole room. They say age comes with wisdom, but it also comes with creaky joints and a wee bit of a (very well managed!) heart condition, so this little fella easily takes a couple of pills to keep him in fighting shape!

Odey’s super social, so for his next adventure in life he’d love to live in a home with other dogs, cats, or kids. If you think your town is big enough for both you and this cowboy of a guy, please fill out our Dog Adoption Application today to set up a meet and greet! He’ll come to you neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for an adoption fee of $300.

We want to honor the late Laura Fellman, an animal lover and faculty member at Portland Community College who passed away earlier this year. Laura made Pixie the recipient of an extremely kind gift that will expand our ability to help the cats and dogs who need us most.

Laura’s generosity will have a lasting effect on the pets and people in our community who rely on Pixie. In this time of extreme need, having this gift will help us respond to families in crisis with the urgency these situations require. We’re so honored to be able to put Laura’s life-long love of dogs, especially senior dogs, into action.

Thank you, also, to Laura’s family, who were kind enough to share stories of her life and love of animals.

This happy guy went up to bat, took a swing, and knocked our hearts right out of the park! Lou is a male lab mix around 6-9 months old with one of the most infectious good moods you’ll ever meet. Right now he weighs about 42 pounds, but could still have a little bit of growing left in him. This guy has done such a good job growing, in fact, that he actually grew too much in one of his front paws. While he is adoptable, what he needs most right now is a foster home where he can recover from his front leg amputation

For his next big adventure in life, Lou would do well in a home with catsother dogsor children over the age of eight. With his sweet, silly personality it’s no surprise that he’d be an all-star in any environment, including homes where he’d be the only pet. If you can see yourself playing ball with this mega cutie, fill out a Dog Adoption Application today to set up a meet and greet! He’ll come to you neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped for an adoption fee of $400.

Adoption staff are raving: Papito is a 10/10 good boy and the smash hit of the summer! If you’ve been looking for a three-year-old male chihuahua mix who sports a goatee and loves his walkies, you can stop looking because you’ve found your guy.

For his next adventure in life, Papito would do well in a home that has cats or dog-savvy kids. Because he’s such an icon, Papito can be a little selective about the dogs he chooses to associate with – so we do recommend having him meet any dogs in the home prior to adoption. If Papito made you starstruck, we don’t blame you! Just fill out our Dog Adoption Application today to set up a meet and greet to meet this gem in person. He’ll come to you vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered for an adoption fee of $400.

Rico is an amazing dog in Portland, OR who is looking for his forever home!

Rico is a year old Rottweiler/Husky mix who weighs 60 pounds. He’s a social and curious fellow who knows know how to respect boundaries with other animals and people. Rico currently lives with a small dog and a cat who he gets along with just fine. He definitely has husky energy, so he’s a sweet silly guy that will make a great adventure partner for anyone who loves the outdoors.

For his next adventure in life, Rico would do wonderfully in a home with dogs, cats, or kids. He has no displays of possessiveness or aggression, and loves going for walks – but he’s great at just hanging around the house as well!

Prior to his life here in Portland, Rico lived near Redding, California and was a treasured companion to a friend who could no longer care for him due to a change in circumstances. Aside from one more follow-up shot, Rico has a clean bill of health and will come to you neutered and up-to-date on all of his vaccines. Copies of his vet records are available.

Rico is an absolute sweetie of a dog, and I’d love to talk to you more about him. Please email Bill at rico.fancy787@simplelogin.com to learn more and please feel free to share this post with anyone who might be a good fit!
