Oh hello! Are you my new friend? Yay! My name is Tyson and I am 4-5 year old Pitbull/Boxer mix weighing around 55lbs. Don’t let my serious face fool you. I’m quite the goofy and gushy guy! In fact, I’m a sensitive gentleman with a big heart. I enjoy my afternoon walks, especially when the sun is out! I am not crazy into toys just yet but I do get excited when you throw the ball. Sometimes I will even get the zoomies around the play yard! I have met other doggy friends and I enjoy a good romp session. I’m a teensy bit shy at first. More independent than anything, but I do open up quickly with some tasty treats. I am a sweet boy who can still get startled by a loud noise or two, so I am looking for a mellow house with kiddos over 12. I’m a little too excited around kitties, so none in my home please. I’m such a proper gent and really have that “sit” down perfectly! When I am in the play yard, I just politely sit and wait to meet my new friends. Handsome, silly, and uber sweet, I am so excited to find my forever pals today! Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello! My name is Bleu and I am a handsome 9 year old pitbull weighing in around 55 lbs. Everywhere I go I instantly get all the attention! I will be walking down the street and suddenly all I hear is ” who is that blue-tiful pitopotamus?”, “who’s that snuggly velvet burrito?”, “who is that cutie with the silly ears”? They love me. They adore me. And what can I say…I love them too!  Whether it be those other pups, dog savvy kitties or kiddos over 12 too, I am always eager to greet you with some tail wags and silly puppy like bows. I enjoy my daily walks and am excellent on leash, and looking for a house set up with some space for my beefy full body happy wiggles. Though I have to say that I am not a fan of this cold weather! I came to Pixie with some pretty severe allergies that affected my skin, eyes, and ears. But my foster mom has been amazing and has helped me narrow down an ideal food that helps me be less itchy! Even though I look and feel much better, there will still need to be some regular allergy maintenance of baths and ear cleanings, as well as continuing on the special food that I do best on. Email the Pixie gals for more details! Always happy and eager for some pets, nothing seems to get me down, and I can’t help but have a smile on face. I have a history of being crate trained and seem to know some of the basics, but I am also a smart cookie and very food motivated which makes learning more that much easier! My foster says I love my daily massages and am definitely a couch potato with a love of snuggling up next to you in bed. I have an occasional burst of energy and like to play with my toys. But it only lasts a few minutes and then it’s back to the couch! Excitable and always happy go lucky, I am sweet boy looking for that perfect cuddle buddy! Will it be you?! Fill out an application today, so we can set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello Hello! My name is Chloe and I am a silly 2 year old Chihuahua mix weighing in around 8 lbs. I may be small but my personality is mighty! I am a spunky loud and proud gal who can be very silly. When I first came to my foster home, I wasn’t much of a snuggler or player, and was more of a just an independent lady doing my own thing. But after some time, I am finally starting to come out of my shell a bit, and will even play with the other doggies. I am even starting to break out the cuddles too! I am still am not crazy into play and can sometimes be a little selective with my friends, so calmer dogs my size are my best companions. Or I would be happy to be your shining star as well! I met the office kitty a few times and didn’t seem too phased her, though I may want to chase a little in the beginning, so slow intros are key! I do have a luxating patella that Pixie will be doing surgery on, so I may need to keep it calm and relaxed during post op care, but after that, I will be ready to go go go! Since I can sometimes be pretty chatty, I would do best in a home that don’t share walls with neighbors. I can get a little overwhelmed by all the traffic too, so a quieter more suburban area would be ideal. I am generally eager to meet new people, but can sometimes take a minute to come around. Thus, I am looking for a quiet adult only home. Hilarious, boisterous, and very cute, I am ready to blossom even more in my forever home today! Fill out an application to set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed with an adoption fee of $350.

  1. Did you say play? Oh boy! What are we playing? When can we start? Oh I am so excited!! My name is Stella and I am a gorgeous, energetic and crazy smart 1 year old German Shepherd weighing about 55 lbs. Everyday I am full of spunk and wiggles, and love getting out that extra energy by running around with my dog pals. I would also jump at the opportunity for neighborhood walks, runs, or just playing fetch in the back yard! Still working on the drop it part of course, but I am very food motivated and as sharp as a tack, so I am sure I will get the hang of it fairly quickly. In fact, I am still learning a lot of the basics and so A TRAINING CLASS/LESSON IS REQUIRED FOR MY ADOPTION! Because I am still learning a lot and have a lot of young dog energy, I really need the focus to be on me for a little bit while I get the hang of things. I am looking for an adult only house with German Shepherd experience that can provide me with an outlet both mentally, with some training and interactive food toys, and physically as well. Heck, I bet I would even love to do some backyard agility or nose work too! Like I said before, I am always down for some romp time with my doggy friends, but I am a little too boisterous for cats, so none in my home please. I am a happy girl who is eager and  ready to go on many adventures with my forever companion. With lots of treats, belly rubs and toys along the way! Fill out an application today, so we can set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, microchipped and spayed with an adoption fee of $350.

Aga

*THIS IS A COURTESY POST* Aga is NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT.

Please contact my mom Pamela at 202 280 3467 or pamelakhon@hotmail.com

Or my dad Dino at 971 601 6992 or abedino2002@yahoo.com

Hello! My name is Aga, and I’m a 15-year-old cocker spaniel that likes to boop. You’d never guess my age, right? I’ve got good genes ;-). I’m about 25 lbs and don’t need lots of treats and won’t steal your food, win-win! I’m a guileless, calm, and super sweet, I am not kidding! I get lots of pets and lots of compliments from strangers!

My family adopted me when I was six, in Egypt, and since then, I’ve traveled around the world with them and even have dual citizenship!  I spent the last three years in Kyiv, Ukraine. I’m so grateful my parents got me out when the war was imminent! (Slava Ukraini!) But now they have to go back, and can’t guarantee where I would stay! What the heck!?

As a retiree, I can be relaxed about things. I take my time warming up to people and places, and sniffing my surroundings. Definitely if you scratch me behind the ears, I’ll stick close. I am only very mildly interested in other dogs or cats, or children, as long as they leave me in peace. And listen, I’m healthy, but I’m too old to be playing dress-up-dog with kids, you feel me?

I am flexible, and low maintenance, sure, but I would prefer a quiet, stable home. I am cool to hang out on my bed, but the second you hit the kitchen, I’ll pop up just to check on you 🙂 I’m hard of hearing but if you crinkle a bag of food, somehow I can hear that too. I’m just really interested in what you are up to! I really like going for short walks, but I warn you, there are a LOT of things to sniff out there, amirite?

I’m in great health for my age but I can’t jump on the couch anymore, like I used to. Stairs are tough for me too. Right now a baby gate blocks the stairs because those suckers are long, steep, and slippery for my arthritic back legs!  As I continue to age, I might need help up and down outside stairs, but for now I can manage them. I might need basic medications or adjustments to keep me comfortable later. I need to go out briefly, four or five times a day but only need one short walk a day. I get tired more easily these days!  The ideal adopter would not work long hours (maybe you work from home or are retired) and would never leave me outside! In exchange, I’ll keep close to you, and adore you! Look at this face! I always smell good and am nice and warm.

I am fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

I will come with my crate, two dog beds, food, leash, poop bags, and everything else you might need for me.

The adoption fee is $100.

*LUKE IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT HADEWYCH AT  hadey1@yahoo.com* 7/2/2022

Luke is a 5 1/2 year old very sweet, very handsome Lab mix (mixed with something fast!) that has no health issues and is up to date on all of his shots (as of May 2022). He is fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped! He is a very sweet boy that loves every human and dog he’s ever met, and lives with a cat that he tolerates.

Luke’s favorite things to do are going on walks, playing fetch, playing with other dogs at the dog park, laying in the sun, howling at fire trucks, and getting lots of love and attention from his humans. He is pretty high energy and would do best with a family that has a big back yard that he can run and play in, or who will commit to taking him on daily walks so he can get his energy out. He is a true dog lover’s dog and will be your very best buddy and love you endlessly. He is the goodest boy.

The adoption fee is $200 (of which $100 will go be a direct donation back to The Pixie Project).  Luke comes with a dog bed, collar, leash, Gentle Leader, poop bags, dog food, and a couple of his favorite toys. Luke has no major allergies, but is sensitive to chicken, so food without any chicken products are best for him.

We’re looking for a few specialty dog fosters! We have a few bigger pups who are looking for more-experienced fosters who have a little extra space: homes with yards, not-super-busy neighborhoods, maybe neighbors who are far enough away that they’re not going to be bothered by some new neighbors. (Not all of our dogs have these requirements: we just have a group right now that are used to a little more space and a little less city and we want to make sure we help them settle in as best we can!) If you fit the bill, check out our foster application on our website or email info@pixieproject.org . You can also check out the dogs who are looking for foster homes at pixieproject.org

Did someone order a grande Cappuccino and a tall Latte? Well here we are! The perfect little espresso beans here to make sure you have a brew-tiful day! We are both chihuahua terrier mixes with Latte being 7 years old and 8lbs, whereas I, Cap, am 12 years old and 16lbs. We are like two coffee beans in a pod and are looking for a home together. Being quiet and sensitive, we are looking for a mellow adult only household with someone who loves cuddling as much as we do! I am always eager to run up and greet you, though Latte can take a second to warm up to the optimal temperature. We are both into snuggles and would probably enjoy walks in  a low traffic area or running around in a fenced yard. Because of all the espresso, sometimes we can get a little chatty, so a home without shared walls with neighbors would be ideal. We have met some doggy friends here at Pixie and in my foster home, and we both warm up to them just fine. No kitties in our home please! Other than me needing a little weight loss, we are both in good shape and have been fixed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and even had routine dentals! Coffee and friends are the perfect blend, so fill out an application for us today. Our total adoption fee if $350. Want to foster us while we wait for our forever home? Email info@pixieproject.org!
