Bonjour! Nice to meet you, my name is Jaux, that’s fancy talk for Joe! I’m a distinguished gentleman who loves to chat about current events while you’re showing me all the love and affection! Staying this handsome doesn’t come easy, it requires work and so I’m really hoping you’re ready to play and stay active with me! Since I am such a big, energetic guy, I would prefer kiddos over 12!  I definitely wouldn’t mind being your only pet but if you happen to have a confident, cat savvy dog already, I’d make a great housemate.  Fill out an application today to set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, microchipped and neutered with an adoption fee of $100.

Hi, my name is Kyle, I am a dainty, independent young lady who is about 1 year old. I was a very young mama but now that I’m on my own again, I can’t wait to settle into my quiet, adults-only forever home. Even though I may take some time to warm up to you, I’ll be ready for affection once I do. My favorite thing are those butt scratches and head scritches! My foster mom even loves to brag about how neat and polite I am! I would be more than happy to be your work from home buddy, maybe I can even help you keep your laptop warm! I am more than happy to be your only pet but if you happen to have a confident, independent kitty or doggo, that may work for me! Fill out an application today to set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, microchipped and spayed with an adoption fee of $100.

These brothers are sure to steal your heart! Gideon and Graham are two VERY  handsome Maine Coon kitties who are about 5-6 months old. They came into the shelter after a very nice lady found them running around a local park when they were about 8 weeks old. How they ended up there we will never know as they appeared to be well cared for.

Gideon has a bubbly personality. He loves to play and cuddle, and will meow at you until you pet him. He also loves to give kitty kisses.

Graham is more on the shy side. He prefers to be pet when he’s on an elevated surface, but will jump up and meow at you until you thoroughly give him ear and belly scratches. He is as playful and silly as his brother, and they find creative ways to entertain themselves.

These two are a bonded pair, so they will need to be adopted together. Graham can be very nervous in a new environment. He will need his brother to rebuild his confidence, and a patient owner who can introduce him slowly. He warmed up after two weeks in his new foster home, and shows more and more of his personality each day. Both kitties adore the 65 lb Great Pyrenees mix who lives in the foster home. They have no fear of dogs, and are respectful of the other kitties who live in their foster home. A home with older children who are quiet and gentle with pets is best. If you are interested in meeting these boys we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet the boys. Please note the adoption fee is $150.00 per kitten. This helps cover the cost of them being altered, treated for fleas, treated for worms, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

Our kitty, Trapper, is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic boy who loves to play. Trapper will most definitely do well indoors and outdoors, likely get along with even-tempered or playful cat, male or female. He’s usually is anxious around new people but is a lovebug with them once he’s comfortable. Rehoming fee of $75. Please contact Kate at meadowdweller41523@gmail.com if interested.

It’s very nice to meet your acquaintance, I am Cousin Vinny and as you can tell by my pictures, I am quite the distinguished gentleman. I love head scratches and plenty of time to play with my human, but you will notice that I’m happiest when I can also roll around in the grass and soak up some sun outside. I’ll need a home that is large enough for me to stretch my legs and safely explore outside, so apartment life just isn’t for me. Since I am such a big, active boy, I would prefer to be your only kitty so you can focus all of your attention on just me, but I’ve met some cool cat savvy dogs and wouldn’t mind having one as a housemate. I am a very energetic at playtime and so kiddos over 12 would be fine by me! Fill out an application today so we can meet! I come to you vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $100.

1/19/2023 **THIS IS A COURTESY POST – Mack is NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT bestfriendsofbaker@yahoo.com. Mack is being fostered through Best friends of Baker, an animal rescue organization in Baker City, Oregon. Through no fault of his own, Mack‘s former ‘people mom’ was forced to move. Regrettably, her new living quarters prohibited pets.  She had Mack for the entire 6 years of his life.  He was an indoor “only-child” pet. He has slowly become more comfortable in this foster situation; a home in which he shares with 4 other cats + a very mellow dog.
Mack would ideally do best in a home where he is a solo pet.  A future owner needs to be patient and calm in integrating Mack into a new living situation.  While Mack has come out of his shell, he is not a cuddly, curl-up-in-your lap kind of cat. Mack wants and accepts affection, but on his terms.  Throughout the day, Mack will seek us out for attention and petting; and then he happily finds a spot to rest and be alone.  He is healthy and has a gorgeous coat  (which feels divine and makes it all the more difficult to not cuddle him up!)  Mack is a quiet, reserved adult cat.  His would do best living in a mature, calm adult family.  We’ve not seen Mack around children, but my guess is that small kids would move too quickly and be too loud for his comfort level.

Hello there! My name is Gibbs and I am very sweet and sensitive 7 yo yorkie mix. I am a fairly shy guy at first, but with some patience and a little bit of time, I want to be your lap cuddle buddy. I have lived with other doggies my size in the past and I have met some pups at Pixie, so another mellow doggy in my home would be just fine. Same for those kitties too. Right now, I am looking to get a little rest and relaxation out of the shelter in an experienced adult only foster home. I am a little too nervous for walks, so it would be best if there was a fenced yard or even an enclosed patio with potty pads. I am a cuddly and sweet guy, so fill out a foster application today or email info@pixieproject.org if interested in fostering me while I search for my forever home!

Georgie had a rough start in life, but that hasn’t stopped him from being the sweetest kitty! He is somewhat fearful of new situations and takes time to warm up to new people, but once he is comfortable his sweet and goofy personality makes an appearance. He loves snuggling and being carried around like a baby, and loves all toys, especially feather wand toys, tunnels, and his catnip banana. He is quite the conversationalist with an adorable repertoire of little meows and chirps, and loves to hold a conversation with you as he follows you around or plays with his toys. Once he is past the initial readjustment phase, Georgie is an “easy” cat. He stays off the counters, likes treats but is not food obsessed, doesn’t bother plants, and only scratches on the cat tree. He would be a wonderful companion for someone who has the patience to help him readjust to a new home. Because he is somewhat fearful and timid, a home with rambunctious children or dogs would not be a good fit for him.
He is being re-homed at no fault of his own, as the prior resident cat is not accepting Georgie and unfortunately neither cat is getting the space or attention they deserve. Georgie is approximately 2 years old and is completely healthy. He is FIV positive which means that he will need to be an indoor only cat. Learn more about FIV here: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv). Georgie is neutered, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines and will go to his new home with some of his stuff 🙂 If you have questions about Georgie or are interested in adding this sweet boy to your family please contact Gail at stant.ga.r@gmail.com
