♫ “Give me the beat boys and free my soul, I want to find my own home where I can feel whole, and snuggle all day.” Classic rock that is music to my ears! Howdy! My name is Doobie and I am a handsome 7 year old Black Lab from Texas weighing around 66lbs. I am a very happy guy with a love of snuggles, playing, and walks around the block! Being a social guy, I adore romping around with my fellow doggy friends and have made many pals at Pixie. Even a dog savvy kitty could join my crew! I am very eager to meet my human pals as well and would be happy to join an owned home with kiddos over 12. Super long workdays would make me a little blue, unless I had another doggy to join me too! I am silly guy with a big heart who is ready to honky tonk and dance into my new life with you. Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, neutered, and with a routine dental and adoption fee of $350.

*THIS CAT IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT ADA AT 503-568-6360*

Sweater is a middle-age calico looking for a forever home. We came across Sweater by means of our neighbors who had rescued her but were unable to house her. She has been with us for about a month. Although we have very little information about Sweater’s past we had our vet check her out and he gave her a clean bill of health.

Sweater loves sitting on your lap and getting lots of love. When you come home she will be a little sassy, vocalizing how much she missed you and butting you with her head in hopes of getting all the pets. Sweater also enjoys playing with the bird and lounging around the house. She enjoys being around people and has had no problems meeting new humans. As much as we adore her she hasn’t been able to warm up to our 2 current cats. Our neighbors said that sweater had a cat friend in the past but during our attempts to introduce her to our cats she becomes stressed. She has reached points of relaxation around one of our cats that leads me to believe she could acclimate with a cat friend if given the time and space to do so.

Please contact Ada with any inquiries at 503-568-6360.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT BUDDY, PLEASE CONTACT DIANE AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Buddy came into my life in February of 2019. He was so weak that he
could barely stand. When Buddy was strong enough, I took him to my local veterinarian. He was scanned for a chip but had none. He is neutered and approximately 5-6 years old. He does need dental care because he has a few loose teeth and a lot of tarter. He prefers soft food. He is litter box trained.

Buddy would really like to be an indoor cat so he had tried to be
friends with my 5 other rescue cats by rolling on his back and being
polite but my cats just ignored him and one cat chased him out of the
house.  I do not know Buddy’s history or what brought him to my life but
I can tell that Buddy feels discouraged at being limited to the covered
patio or garage and just wants to be inside.

His favorite activity is to lay in your lap.  He likes cat nip. He is a
“man’s man” with a soft side.  I think that Buddy would do well in a
home with no children.  I do not have a dog so I cannot speak to weather
Buddy would get along with a dog. I see Buddy in a home as the only cat or a cat that would not threaten him.  He will need someone who is experienced with cats and who will have patience with him and give him time and space to adjust to a new life style.  He has been without a permanent home for a while.

Buddy is a smart beautiful cat that just wants to be inside on someone’s
lap.  He deserves another chance for a loving and patient forever home. For more information, please contact Diane at 503-702-6793.

Greetings humans. My name is Mars and I am an adorable 3 year old chihuahua alien from a far away place known as Avenal, California. This world is so different than my home and I am still figuring it all out! Though it takes a second for me to warm up, my adult earthling friends say I am very sweet and appeasing. Since my spaceship crashed here in the city,  I have been trying to find a quieter street to live on as the traffic is pretty scary to me. It helps having around a confident fellow doggy friend my size as it makes me feel a bit more confident too! Right now, I am just looking for a place to relax, so I can have time to blossom and come out of my shell. If interested in fostering me, please fill out the foster application and email info@pixieproject.org! I am neutered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON CURLY FRY, PLEASE CONTACT CAITLIN AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

This is Curly Fry! Curly is 5 and half years old and is an indoor kitty. We adopted Curly Fry around 8 months old and have had him for almost 5 years. Curly was abandoned as a kitten and was rescued and then adopted by us. Because he was abandoned young, it seems our sweet boy is a CH kitty. While he may walk funny, he is also the most loving boy to anyone and everything. He loves sleeping most the day and the second you sit down he is ready to snuggle up on your lap. He always wants to be close to you and will give you kisses all day. His CH is not degenerative and he is overall a normal, healthy cat. Unfortunately, we got Curly Fry to be a friend for our other cat. She however has picked on him since day one and after having a new baby that has stressed him out a bit, as well as planning to move soon, we think it’s a good time to try to find Curly Fry a new home that is a little calmer, quieter, and more focused on him only.

Please contact Caitlin – caitlinstocking@gmail.com or (801) 541-2593 if you want more information or would like to come and meet this sweet boy!

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SALEM, PLEASE CONTACT L.C. AT THE PHONE NUMBER BELOW–

Hello there! My name is Salem! I acquired this piece of porch/front yard real-estate you see in my picture when my previous owner moved away and forgot to take me with her. I stealthily relocated across the street to the neighbor’s porch, but I am hoping a more secure option opens up.  I am a heart-of-gold senior fellow, who (I don’t like to brag too much, but…) my veterinarian says is in good shape. (This is pretty awesome considering my past as a long-term veteran of fending-for-myself. My veterinarian even found a BB gun pellet embedded near my hip. The stories I could tell…) I am a little worried about having no real shelter from the rain and cold when the weather starts to turn toward fall/winter. Mostly, though, I need some good people of my very own to love. (A family? A single person? A couple?  Roommates?). Despite being what many have called “quite neglected” from my previous person, I am not holding any grudges! I am a peaceful, dignified fellow who just wants what we all want- a secure, welcoming, peaceful place to call home, people (or a person) who I can love, and who will love me back. How good it would be to live out my remaining days in the warmth of a loving home. I have so much love to give. Shall we meet?

**Please only respond if you can provide a stable, secure, loving, peaceful, forever home for Salem. This older gentleman cat has already endured years of severe neglect from a previous owner who ultimately abandoned him, so let’s do all we can to make sure he knows kindness, security and happiness in his final years. Salem is sitting on the neighbor’s front porch right now, hoping for the right people or person to come along and welcome him home.

***Salem previously lived with a dog, so seems to do just fine with cat-friendly dogs.

*If you would like to know more about Salem and/or schedule a meet and greet, please contact L.C.~ (503) 228-5878

What is everyone’s favorite snack, that you just can’t get enough of? That’s me — Popcorn! I’m a big, super-friendly, 4-year-old guy that can’t wait to complete your family’s movie night! I am all about social time, and am eager to say hello to every new person I see! I’m very gentle and would be a great family cat, ready to entertain people big and small with my handsome face and out-going personality. I have lived successfully around other cats and dogs in my past, and am pretty good with everyone — sometimes my big size can be intimidating and other confident males can think I’m a show-off, so a nice, passive lady cat would probably be the best fit for me if any. I’m also very happy to be your one-and-only cat in the home, and have a lot of dog-like personalities to make you feel like you have the best of both worlds! Due to my size and young, playful energy, apartment life is probably not ideal for me — I could use space and lots of attention! I’m not a super hyper-active guy, though… trust me, I take my nap time very seriously. Cuddle time, too, if you’ll allow it! I’m a big mush that can’t wait to find my forever family! Fill out an application soon so we can meet! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON DYNA, PLEASE CONTACT JANET AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

I am Dyna, a sweet, mellow, 11 year old cat looking for a new home. I have lived with one other cat all my life but am not familiar with dogs and don’t care for loud noises.  I have very soft fur and two adorable black dots on my nose.  I’m shy at first but will warm up to you given a bit of time. I love belly rubs and will head butt you if I don’t get enough attention. I enjoy being held and sitting on your lap. I am not a picky eater but I will meow when I’m hungry. I’m content to stay indoors but I also enjoy lounging on the sunny patio and exploring the back yard. I am not used to being with young children so I would be perfect for an adult who needs a loveable friend to come home to. I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped.

Please contact Janet at  dyna@gordonv.net  with any inquiries.
