–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PRECIOUS, PLEASE CONTACT KYLEEN AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

The time has come (unfortunately) for me to find a new home for my beloved cat, Precious. With all the travel and my upcoming housing change, I am no longer able to be a good cat mommy. She has been mine since 2009 and I am incredibly sad to let her go.

She’s a spayed indoor cat (approx 15 years old) who doesn’t like other cats but did tolerate the one large dog she lived with several years ago. She’s very shy and anxious around new people and loud noise, so I’m looking for a “Grandma” environment – a calm house and an owner who is home a lot-ish to give her the love and attention she craves. She is in excellent health for her age (no medications or ailments – clean bill of health from Blue Door Veterinary Services on 8/13/19), is very spry and LOVES to play. She is very loving and affectionate and, after a period of feeding her and gaining her trust, she will warm up to you. I have all the cat things you’ll need, plus a bunch of food to hand over. I’m very protective of her and want to find the best living situation possible. She does have a HomeAgain microchip but it was (unfortunately) never registered, meaning I am not sure where the previous owner (she has only had 1 owner besides me) adopted her from.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions. My email address is kyleen115@gmail.com. Precious is such a wonderful cat – you are sure to fall in love, just as I have. Thank you!

Hi there! I’m your old pal Doobie 2 Shoes – a gorgeous and velvet-soft 12-year-old guy who is a total sweetheart. I’m super social and love to be around people as much as I can, soaking up lots of attention and pets and charming everyone I meet! I absolutely adore being brushed, which helps keep my luxurious coat nice and pristine. It’s a really nice bonding experience with my person, too! I will climb into your lap if you’re settled down for a moment and nuzzle up against you, asking for more and more love. I lived with another cat before and am pretty low-key and respectful towards other animals so I’d probably do okay around another mellow cat or dog like me, as long as I had time to adjust. I have always been an indoor cat and am calm enough that apartment life would do just fine for me, but definitely sweet and social enough that I’d also do well in a home with a family and lots of activity — I’m definitely not shy! I love being the center of attention! And did you see my short little bob-tail — it’s just too cute and makes me extra special. Pixie has already run blood work on me and I am currently a healthy boy with no meds or special needs at this time. Don’t you think we could have a whoppin’ good time together? I think so! Fill out an application to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $80.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT NINA, PLEASE CONTACT MAXINE AT THE PHONE NUMBER BELOW–

Nina is a sweet old girl who hasn’t had the best couple of years. Her original owners got her as a kitten and had her for 13 years, during which she progressed from an indoor cat, to an indoor/outdoor cat, to an almost completely outdoor cat. When the owners had to move to the city, theY decided she would be happier being left in the woods, and had a neighbor promise to feed her. Well, you can probably imagine how well leaving a senior, long-hair cat in the woods worked out. By the time she found me, she had over 2 lbs of mats on her, and was covered in ticks and fleas. She was also several lbs underweight. It has been about two months since then, and we have gotten her cleaned up, healed, and gaining weight. The only reason we are not able to keep her is that she DOES NOT like other cats. She is truly TERRIFIED of them. My cat is 15 years old and the laziest push-over of a cat you will find, and even after months of trying to slowly acclimate them to one other, Nina still won’t go near my cat. It was causing her such immense stress that we now have the cats separated into two different sections of the house, but if she even hears the jingle of the other cats collar, she will still hiss and go hide.

Nina needs a peaceful, quiet home, with someone who will be patient with her as she learns to feel confident and trust again. Due to her stress levels, she can be a little unpredictable, but it is apparent that she does love people. We believe that if she had a safe space to grow and relax, she would blossom into a very affectionate cat. Nina’s ideal home would be without young kids, cats, or other animals. She needs to be the only pet, and prefers a quiet environment. She also would do best with somebody willing to walk her – she is good about having her harness put on, and while she isn’t a huge fan of the leash, she is learning. There are a multitude of reasons why it would not be safe to have her an outdoor cat, but she does love being outside when safely supervised. A catio would also be a great option.

Nina would be a wonderful companion for anyone willing to give her a safe and loving home. More than anything we just want to see her flourish into her best self! Please text me at 971-221-5189 for more pictures or information

Hello! My name is Katie Cakes and I am a as sweet as pie 9 year old Lab/Rotty gal. Everyone says I am one of the most loving doggies you will ever meet and they are completely right! I am a super mellow senior gal who enjoys just kind of chilling and hanging around with my favorite pals-whether they are my human friends or those doggy and kitties too! I am just always excited to mingle with everyone and seem to always have a smile on my face! My foster says some of my favorite things are: toys, golf balls, food, short walks, naps, oversized comfy beds, and of course, getting lots of pets and attention. At roughly 80lbs, I need to go on a little bit of diet and exercise plan, but I am motivated and a total people pleaser, which will make it easier for me to shed those pounds.  And plus I just adore my afternoon walks and though I am not quite an avid hiker, I would be happy to join on a short jaunt around the block. I would do best in a home without a lot of stairs as I am an older gal with old lady hips.  Sweet, social, and full of some of the best snuggles, I am the perfect companion and would love to join your family. So fill out an application today and we can set up a meet! I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Lana (tortoiseshell) and her sister Eloise (black) are two funny, playful, social sisters around 5-years-old and the best of friends! These petite little ladies are the life of the party and are always quick to run up to new people to say hello and see what’s going on. They are full of energy and still have a lot of kitten-ness to them — running and chasing after string toys and investigating new things whenever they can! They aren’t bothered by much, and enjoy lots of attention from people big and small. They share their space with other cats just fine, and don’t seem intimidated by dogs. Lana and Eloise were brought to Pixie after their owner lost their home and was unable to provide medical care for their severe flea allergies, which they’re now recovering well from — while their coats are thin now, they are already growing back in and the girls are looking more gorgeous every day! They have now been given a clean bill of health and are more than ready to find their forever home together. Both are used to being indoors and would make great family pets! If you’re in search of a darling pair to entertain you and keep you company, please fill out an application to meet them today! They come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for a combined adoption fee of $180.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THESE KITTENS ARE NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT DAISIE AND PENELOPE, PLEASE CONTACT ERIN AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

Maisie and Penelope are a pair of bonded female tuxedo kittens that are 8 weeks old. Penelope has a white face with traditional tuxedo markings, and Maisie has a white chin with white mittens on her paws. Penelope is adventurous, playful, loving, and loves everybody she meets. She adores having her belly rubbed and giving you kisses until she falls asleep in your lap. She warms up to new environments immediately and is always ready for an adventure.
Maisie is the more timid sister, with saucer eyes and her adorable chin. She needs a little bit more time to warm up to new environments, but is extremely loving and affectionate after she builds some trust. Once her personality comes through, it shines forever, she is curious, smart, mellow, and will always make you laugh.
Maisie and Penelope are bonded and must be adopted together, Penelope is great at showing Maisie new environments are okay, and even fun to explore, while Maisie provides Penelope the play and attention she craves from a feline companion. They are wonderful with humans and have been socialized with humans since birth, we believe they would do wonderful in a home with or without children. You will fall in love with them instantly. They will be spayed before adoption (at 10 weeks), and a rehoming fee of $120 per kitten will cover their first vaccination, dewormer, and spay surgery. (Adoption for the two would be $240 total).

Please contact me via email, erinbrgd@gmail.com if you are interested or would like to learn more about this fabulous pair.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ABOUT BUDDHA, PLEASE CONTACT ANA AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Buddha is 6 years old and spayed. Her birthday is Aug 1. She loves spending time one on one and will grow very attached to her care giver. She loves attention and to show off when she feels safe. She likes to find secret spots to nap and is mostly independent, though sometimes she’ll get spurts of energy and do parkour! When she trusts people, she will cuddle them and let them hold her. She’s shy upon meeting and likes to hide when entering new environments. She can get easily overwhelmed with groups of people, so it’s best she is left alone until she can feel out the situation. She will warm up to other cats in the home, but it takes a couple weeks. She is best in a home without dogs nor children.

If you are interested in meeting Buddha, please contact Ana at
ana@nexgarden.com or 503-729-7231.
