*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER AT THE EMAIL BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS*

Daphne is looking for her retirement home. She is approximately 10 years old. We adopted her from the Long Beach Humane Society when she was 4 years old and do not have information about her life prior to us. She is a German Shepard mix- we think some cattle dog and/or Jack Russell.  We are sad to be rehoming her, as she is an incredibly loving and sweet companion. We are looking for a home that will offer her more calm and quiet, realizing that our current family life with a toddler makes it difficult for us to meet Daphne’s needs. She is a people person, prefers to be the only dog in a quiet house. She could integrate with a larger breed dog, preferably male; no other dog reactive dogs. Her ideal home would be with adults who spent time at home, large yard or acreage is best, low foot traffic as Daphne reacts to other dogs against fences or passing her property. She only needs short walks every day due to some mild arthritis in shoulders and hips; loves to sniff and hunt for squirrels. Dog savy cat would be OK. She is gentle with kids but will be happier in a family w/o kids. We are asking a $200 rehoming fee.

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT MICKI AT THE EMAIL BELOW*

Hi! My name is Eddie and I’m a nearly 7-year old Dachshund/hound mix weighing around 11 pounds. One of my favorite things to do is snuggle in next to you on your lap, especially if you also wrap me in a fuzzy blanket. I love, love, love balls! I love to chew on them, have you throw them for me, and I’m getting better at bringing them back. I also love to play tug-of-war with ropes, braided blankets and tugs. If you’re lonely, I’ll chat with you, especially around meal or treat time. I have a cute little chat and I’m certain you’ll understand every word.

I have great manners. I know sit, stay, and I’m learning lay down. I let my people through the door first, and I feel very comfortable on a leash.
I really don’t like to share your lap or your home with other dogs, cats or children under the age of 12. If I absolutely must share, I’d prefer to make friends with a confident cat who lets me go my way while they go their way.

People say I’m super smart! I learn new things quickly, especially when enticed with treats. I need someone who is willing to keep up on expanding my socialization skills with consistency and training as I get a little too excited seeing and meeting new people and pets. In fact, it would be best if I had a home that was on a quiet street so I can relax and not have to worry about people passing in front of windows all the time or lots of noise from the street.
I have some joint pain and anxiety, but with my meds I’m not as nervous, not in pain, and jump about 3 feet in the air off all four legs when I’m over-the-moon happy. I also have vasculitis which just means the edges of my ears can get crusty. I’m on an inexpensive, safe medication that has made my ears–one of my best features I might add–soft and supple.

I have so much love to give. I just need to find the right, forever, home. To inquire about me, please send an email to adopteddiefuller@gmail.com, or contact my foster mom, Micki, at 503-805-9305. Please leave a message if she doesn’t answer. If you’re interested in adopting me, please download and fill out a Pixie Project application and email it to adopteddiefuller@gmail.com. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $300. The adoption fee will be donated to training sessions with Denise at Behave to help ease Eddie’s transition. I also come with my medications and all veterinary records.

Oh sweet mercy! Look at that handsome pup Percy! At 2 years old and around 30 lbs, I am a spry scruffy Terrier who is ready to play play play! I have that classic terrier energy and am always on the go, whether it’s playing with my dog friends or exploring the great outdoors. I’m still new to a harness and have a tendency to pull, but I respond well to tasty treats, so I’m learning quickly! Always excitable and full of fun, I am very puppy like when I first meet a new doggy. I just want to romp around so badly! But not every pup enjoys that, so I would need an adult dog sibling in the home who has the energy to keep up with me but who also can teach me some manners. Don’t worry, I’m not bouncing of the walls all day! Once we go for a walk or play some fetch, I am always down for some pets and skritches. Since I can be a bit bouncy, I would do best in a home without kitties and with kiddos 12 and up. Scruffy, adorable, hilarious, and full of spunk, I am ready to get started on our adventures today! Fill out an application to set up a meet. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello friend! My name is Sampson and I am a happy and hefty 5 yo Pit mix weighing 75lbs. I am a mellow guy with a big heart full of love to share with my new family! Though I am a big guy, I have a sensitive soul and sometimes can even be a little bit of a ninny meeting new pups. I have lived with a confident doggy in the past and we had a leader-follower thing going on which helped me build my confidence! I would be happy to enter the same set up with an older mellow and confident female. Or I would happy to be your only companion as well! No kitties in my home please. I am very people oriented more than anything and overall am just a great companion for my human pals over 10. Though I am more of a couch potato, I still like to occasionally play with my favorite squeaky toys. I would need and thrive in an owned home in a quiet area. I do have some food allergies that require me to be on a specific prescription food. For more info, please email Pixie! I love to give slobbery kisses and cuddles, and am eager to please. And I am so so ready to be with my forever people today! Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

Time’s up, pencils down. Let’s see how you did on this math quiz. ” 1 Fox-like Face + Infinity Wrinkles = 2 Cute!” An A+ answer indeed! That cute face belongs to me, Foxi Dani! You can call me Foxi D for short. At 2 years old and 10 lbs, don’t let my serious face fool you! Once I open up, I am full of energy and love to wrestle around with my fellow doggy friends. My foster mom says I am even quite the runner and will do zoomies around the yard. As long as it is sunny of course! I also love to play fetch with my tiny squeaker balls. Though I am active throughout the day, I am a snugglebug by night and my favorite place is under the blankets on your warm lap. Though I am pretty agile around the yard, I am not really able to get on furniture, so I may need a boost to get our cuddle on! My foster mom also says I am a little nervous on walks, and would do best in a quieter low traffic area. When I first got to Pixie, I was a little slow to warm up to new people, and still will be in new situations. But now that I am in foster with my doggy friends, I have built a lot of confidence and I would just love to have a furry dog sibling to hang with. I am a quiet gal and would do best in home with kiddos over 12. I met the resident foster cats and wanted nothing to do with them, and was a little frightened by them, but a single dog savvy kitty in the home would be ok. But like I said, it is my doggy friends my size that I really have a blast with! I could just play all day! Cute, hilarious, and full of smiles, I am a happy gal ready to find my forever home today! YOU + ME= MEANT 2 BE! Fill out an application today and we can set up  meet! I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello! My name is Snoopy and I am a 6 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix weighing 12 lbs. Being a terrier mix, I am full spunk and energy! A lot of times people think that means I need a lot of physical activity, but sometimes I really just need some mental stimulation too! I would be a great candidate for nosework games or interactive food toys and puzzles. Being very treat motivated, I catch on to things pretty quickly. Though bigger dogs are not my style, I like to play with the little guys my size. I am forward greeter, but always end up being flirty! No kitties in my home please. Being such a people lover, I am always eager to greet my human pals over 8, and of course always down for some play! Fetch, anyone? I do great on my daily walks with the Pixie volunteers. Apartment life with elevators and hallways isn’t ideal, but I could be ok in a condo or duplex. Though I can sometimes be aloof, if you offer the attention first, I am all for it! Silly, cute, and a bit awkward, I am a fun guy who can’t wait to share adventures with my new family! So fill out an application and we can set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

Did someone order a grande Cappuccino and a tall Latte? Well here we are! The perfect little espresso beans here to make sure you have a brew-tiful day! We are both chihuahua terrier mixes with Latte being 6 years old and 8lbs, whereas I, Cap, am 11 years old and 16lbs. We are like two coffee beans in a pod and are looking for a home together. Being quiet and sensitive, we are looking for a mellow adult only household with someone who loves cuddling as much as we do! I am always eager to run up and greet you, though Latte can take a second to warm up to the optimal temperature. We are both into snuggles and would probably enjoy walks in  a low traffic area or running around in a fenced yard. We have met some doggy friends here at Pixie and though we are very tolerant, we would love to be your only coffee choices in the home. Latte does have cherry eyes that will be fixed in an upcoming surgery, but other than that we are both in good shape and have been fixed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and even had routine dentals! Coffee and friends are the perfect blend, so fill out an application for us today. Our total adoption fee if $350. Interested in fostering us while we find our forever home? -THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER AT THE INFO PROVIDED BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS-

Hi! My name is Coco! I’m a 4yr old Toy Poodle with personality and sass. Most people think I’m a girl, but that’s okay as long as they’re willing to give me treats and belly scritches.

My elderly dog mom recently had to be moved to an assisted care facility. She left me with her son and daughter-in-law until I find another person. They can’t keep me because they have cats I like to chase and growl at, and there’s too much going on in their house.  I need a quiet home. No kids.  No cats. I can be a couch potato cuddling with you or a bouncy playmate. I bond deeply with one person and they are my world.  I like to bark a lot when I’m excited, especially on walks. I walk okay on a leash, but could use some work on reactivity to people, dogs, and animals.

I really like routine. If something changes I’ve been known to potty in the house if left alone.  I get really scared when my people leave me.

I’m a smart guy and love spending time with you getting treats, praise and attention for the silly things you keep asking me to do, like sit. I can also be a problem solver and get into stuff. I love chewing paper, am a great vacuum, and I love it when people leave food unattended.  Jackpot!

I like my spa days. I go to the groomer every 8-10 weeks. I need my ears plucked regularly and professional grooming to keep comfortable and healthy.  I’m my groomer’s favorite.  I am also super allergic to flea bites. This means I have to be on flea prevention all year round, preferably oral as topical irritate me. Expenses to consider.  I also need regular dentals under anesthesia about every 18 months.

I can be nippy with strangers especially men. Strangers scare me and always want to pick me up because I’m so cute. I do not like children at all. Especially, kids under high school age. They’re loud and unpredictable.

My foster Dad says to tell you I’m up to date on vaccines, just had my teeth cleaned in April, and am up to date on heartworm and flea prevention.

If you’re interested in meeting me please contact my foster dad at:
