Are you from Tennessee? Because you’re the only ten I see! Hehe. I just couldn’t help myself. It’s my name after all! I am a silly and lovable 11 yo old hound dog weighing a 78lbs. Though I am a big guy, I have short legs, so there maybe some sort of Bassett in my genes. I am hound through and through with a love of food and sniffing all over the place.  Though I am an older gent, I am still really strong and may pull a bit on leash to follow my nose! I have met a few dog friends here at Pixie and am a happy but awkward chap. I wouldn’t mind a mellow female companion my size to hang out with in my home. I tend to be a squirrel and kitty chaser, so no cats in my home please. I would need an owned home outside of town or even more rural where I won’t have to constantly run into the neighborhood kitties on my walks.  Just somewhere quiet with a nice porch to sit on with my people and a yard to explore.  Overall, I am a cuddler who enjoys butt skritches and belly rubs from my human pals over 12.  I am a simple guy who enjoys the simple things in life, and am ready to retire with my best friend today. Will it be you? Fill out an application today and we can set up a meet! I come to you neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Rosie is thought be around 2.5 years old. Her DNA was tested and is Border Collie, Doberman Pinscher, Great Pyrenees, and a mix of some other things. Her current owner can transfer her Embark profile to the new family upon adoption. Rosie was adopted from the Second Chance Program in January. Not very much was known about Rosie, and she is looking for a special home with experienced adopters, no children, and no cats.

Rosie is a life-long companion and extremely loyal. She loves dipping her feet in the river, doing some zoomies in the grass or sand, playing games that test her mind, and cuddling! Her favorite place to be is right by your side, including cuddling under a blanket on the couch and spooning you to fall asleep at night. She is very workable and eager to please. Rosie is VERY smart and knows many commands and can learn many more.

Rosie is a sensitive girl and has barrier reactivity towards dogs. When she gets to meet dogs, she is timid and soft, at least until she warms up to them and deems them safe. Her current placement has worked on this for the past 6 months. She has had a recent behavioral assessment by a CPDT-KA trainer. Upon evaluation, it is determined that Rosie would do best in a home that is somewhat rural and has fenced space for Rosie to get her exercise without relying on walks in urban areas and busy hiking trails. Her humans should be gentle and soft-spoken in nature to match Rosie’s sensitive nature. It would be ideal for Rosie to be with someone who isn’t gone long work hours. She needs stability in her environment to work on her confidence. Rosie would benefit from having a calm dog companion to help her confidence and how the world works, ideally an adult male dog.

Rosie is fully vetted (including negative heartworm test) and spayed. She is on a prescription diet due to a sensitive stomach and the current regimen is working well, but can be tweaked with to see if there is any wiggle room or weening from the rx diet.

Please, only gentle and effective positive reinforcement methods. No e-collars (including invisible fencing), pinch collars, choke collars, “alpha role” or “balance training”, etc is allowed for Rosie.

Her rehoming fee is $200 and her current owner will fully reimburse this fee upon completion/proof of behavior modification training re: reactivity. Process: Potential adopters will fill out an application, meet Rosie at least once, and complete an adoption contract upon approval.

Rosie can’t wait to be your new best friend and loyal companion! Contact Corynn at corynnbernhardt@gmail.com or 971-770-6942 for more information.

Partial sun, a little bit of water, yummy treats to help with training, and lots of love is all that is needed to help this Ivy grow into her full potential! Hi everyone. My name is Ivy. What kind you ask? Well that is a good question! I am a total unknown mix, a hybrid of maybe some pitbull or doberman? But regardless of breed, at 12 weeks, I am a pretty big lady already and will most likely get to be around 50-60 lbs when full grown. But again, it is a total mystery! I am in a very important socialization stage in my puppyhood and I am going to require a lot of time and training to make sure I learn all about the world in a positive manner. PUPPY CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION!! I am a total sweetheart with a love of toys and cuddling in your lap–and even at the same time! I of course still have some puppy manners I need to work on and because I need all the focus on me for a bit, I would do best in a home with kiddos over 5. I would need an owned home with a family who isn’t gone long periods of time, at least in the beginning, until I get a bit bigger and get on a regular potty routine. I am excellent with other doggies and am still getting used meeting kitties, so a dog savvy cat would be best in my home. Though just a little high maintenance in it’s younger days, watching this Ivy flower and blossom while sharing some adventures along the way is totally worth the extra effort! Loving, silly, sweet, and full of that puppy energy, I am ready to start out on life’s long and fun journey with a family of my own! Fill out an application today and we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed with an adoption fee of $450.

“All my friends know the low rider”…And that low rider is me! My name is Lil Dude and I am one happy go lucky and energetic 1 year old Basset hound mix weighing around 26 lb. Social and full of spunk, I am always happy to greet my admirers with a bounce and some kisses. Being a hound, I am a very active lad who still needs to work on some basic manners like jumping and puppy mouthiness. But of course I love me some food, so that will help me on my training journey! A TRAINING LESSON OR CLASS IS MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION. With the propensity to be vocal during my excited times and my love of running around, I would do best in an owned home with some space to stretch my little legs. I really enjoy playing with my doggy friends, and they really help me not only learn, but also get that extra energy out that can’t really be satisfied with walks or playing fetch. So another female dog friend in the home who can handle my initial peppiness is needed! No kitties in my home please! With my cheery disposition, I am ready to say hi to everyone I meet out in the world, but would prefer to live in a home with older kiddos over 14. Silly and oh so entertaining, this “low rider is the one to meet!” Fill out an application today, so we can get started playing today! I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hilarious, tenacious and totally cute, this tiny comedian is ready to make you laugh today! My name is Jack Black and I am a 4 year old Chihuahua mix weighing in at a mere 6lbs. Though I am such a tiny guy, I have a big heart that I am ready to share with my forever family! My silly antics and movements are enough to make anyone giggle. For example, when I meet new doggy friends, though I can be very forward at first, I will prance and dance, and do what I call the “Chihuahua flirt” to get the other doggies to play. And for my human pals over 10? Well I am full of face kisses and silly twirls! I can be a little bit excitable when I see other dog friends on walks, so I need an owned home in a low traffic area to practice some leash manners. But I am a fast learner, especially when there are yummy hotdogs involved! But you know what I can’t stand more than airline food? Kitties! So none in my home please. My silliness knows no bounds and I have plenty of hilarious jokes up my sleeve, ready to make my new forever family giggle! Is it fate? Is it the pick of destiny?! Let’s find out today! Fill out an application to set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.
