–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON BATMAN, PLEASE CONTACT SIERRA AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

I am Batman,  I’m 8 years old as of March 23rd 2021. My human mom is moving out of the area and can’t take me with her.  I am taking applications for a new crime fighting partner!  I was a bottle fed baby, so, you might think I am a bit spoiled – and you might be right!  I can be vocal and a bit demanding and will even fake a hurt paw, so you will pay attention to me. From time to time  I love to be carried around like a baby, while other times I’d rather just sit near you and enjoy your company. However, if you really want to win me over, a facial massage will do the trick!!

I did have an accident when I was younger and can be a bit sensitive on my lower back, but fear not I still love to run after string! Older, cat-respecting kids would be better for me – those other little ones make a lot of noise.  I don’t have any good dog experience, so, let’s not go there.  As for other humans, I have been known to growl as I rub up against the legs of men, but I eventually stop growling, if he’s a nice man -I’m trying to look after you mom.  I have been my human moms one and only cat, and since I want all of your attention – I am not much for sharing my person with other cats. I have had limited chaperoned time outside, but these days, I am fine with a cat tree that I can lay on while I look out the window and watch the world outside.  I good with the litterbox, but my mother must scoop it daily.

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE EMAIL SAM AT THE ADDRESS AT THE END OF THE POST*

Hi, my name is Stevie! I’m a 3 year old Malamute mix with the sweetest heart.  As you might notice, I cannot see and was born this way, but my other senses are very sharp and it does not stop me from learning and playing. I’m very shy with new people and struggle with anxiety, likely due to my history of abusive homes and living as a stray. Because of this, you’ll see me pacing in circles. However, once I get comfortable, my goofy personality will shine through and I might ask you for belly rubs, my favorite!  My foster parents say I’m sweet, loyal, and grateful for cuddles and play time. If I feel left alone, I will howl to see if anyone is near. That’s the malamute in me!  I get along great with other animals, enjoy playing fetch with a favorite toy, and am overall very well behaved.

I will do best with at least one other dog around to show me the ropes, and my new parents need to be patient with me as I become familiar with my surroundings and where the bathroom is. My anxiety is being managed with medication which my vet prefers me to continue.  I would feel safest with a fenced yard and space to wander and explore. Ultimately, I would thrive in a loving and patient environment where I can continue blossoming into the best dog I can be. If interested in adopting me, please email Sam at Baldner2019@gmail.com

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON LUNA, PLEASE CONTACT AMY AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Luna is a beautiful 7 year old spayed tortoise-shell tabby who came to us as an abandoned kitten.  She is very outgoing and bright, and absolutely loves to be pet and scratched.  While not really a lap cat, and sometimes a bit “spicy”, she is a sweet girl who loves attention and to play with toys.

For her first 4 years, Luna lived comfortably alongside two other cats and our family dog.  She was not always friendly with the cats, but loves the dog and learned to at least tolerate her feline friends.  Unfortunately, when one of our cats passed away and we brought a new cat into the family, she reacted very badly.  She never really warmed up to him and started urinating inappropriately around the house.  We had her evaluated for urinary disease and kept trying to slowly introduce the two.  Unfortunately, while she learned to tolerate him, her inappropriate urination continued.

For the last couple of years, Luna has been doing well as an “only child” in an indoor basement room with her own toys, heated basket, and exclusive use of a large outdoor catio.  While this is not a bad life, we certainly feel that she would enjoy more human companionship than we are able to give her.  We are hoping that someone will be interested in giving this loving older cat the attention she deserves!

She reliably uses her litter box in her “apartment” and never urinated inappropriately in there, so we are pretty confident she would do well in a small home where she is the only cat.  She would likely also befriend a dog, if that dog has experience living with a cat and doesn’t chase or tease.  Occasionally my daughter takes her for walks on a lead, so that is an option for her as well.

We would happily take her back from any situation that did not work out.  She is not unhappy, just a little lonely, I fear.

Luna’s last vet exam was in September of 2018.  She received a clean bill of health and is rabies vaccinated through late 2021.  We would happily have her looked at again, or pay for a vet visit at the provider of your choice, should you decide she is the kitty for you.  And, of course, we would send along her favorite toys and heated basket!

Thanks for considering providing a home for this lovely lady.  I am more than happy to answer any questions you might have. Amy — 503-757-8163 or zoocuttinga@gmail.com

–THIS IS A COURTESY POST; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON SAM, PLEASE CONTACT BEST FRIENDS OF BAKER CITY AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Samantha (Sam) is a 2-3 year old female who came to us as an owner surrender; she had lived with an elder man until he fell ill and was put on hospice. Being moved to foster care was traumatizing for her.

We thought we had an adopter, but Sam was diagnosed with Miliare Dermatitis at her spay appt. She needs a steroid shot in 2 weeks and a stress free environment to become well. We do not anticipate it being a long term condition, as she did not have it at her original home.

Sam will take A LOT OF TIME TO WARM UP. But once she has become trustful she is very doting, sweet and friendly. It would be best if she goes to A QUIET HOME WITH AN OLDER COUPLE OR SENIOR. She would also prefer to be the only pet, if possible.

Please call Best Friends of Baker M-F 8-5 to schedule a meet and greet with Sam: 541-519-7387. You may also fill out an application here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BFOB/Cat

Meet Poptart! She is a 13 year old Calico, loves to play, and HIGHLY food motivated. She is deaf so she doesn’t know the meaning of “inside voice.” She has spent most of her life with dogs and children, and has only been living in a single-cat household within the past year. She is spayed and declawed. She is easy-going and curious, and handles change very well – she has moved 2 times in 6 months with no signs of distress.

She would do best in any kind of household that can provide lots of playtime, tasty food and treats, and basic medical care for an older kitty.

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT JAYATI AT JAYATI.RAMAKRISHAN@GMAIL.COM FOR MORE DETAILS*

Meet Louie! He is a handsome 9-month old bloodhound, pit bull and lab mix who would make a great addition to a loving family with lots of space and a little extra patience. Louie is a joyful and friendly pup, and wants to be with his people all the time. He is super affectionate and loves to sleep on the bed or sit on the couch with you if you let him. He is learning how to walk well on a leash, and loves playing fetch with a ball or a rope toy. We have not taken him to a dog park yet because he is not yet neutered but he has played really nicely with neighbor dogs, and wants to be friends with everyone who walks by. He also loves to dig!

Louie would do best in a quieter neighborhood without a lot of foot traffic. He is extremely interested in other dogs and people, and if he sees them walking by constantly, he will sit and bark or cry because he can’t play with them. He will also bark every time he hears a doorbell or senses someone at the door. He would thrive in a rural setting with lots of space and another
adult dog, preferably a female who can lead him. He should go to a home without cats or kids younger than 13.

He is extremely food-driven and will do anything for a meaty bone or string cheese. He also loves carrots, apples and sweet potatoes. Food is a huge motivator for him, and it’s important to have lots of treats of different kinds when you take him on a walk, or anywhere new or unfamiliar. Louie is a highly social dog and craves constant interaction. When he gets frustrated or overstimulated, he can be bouncy and mouthy. These episodes have gotten less frequent with training, but it’s important to be aware of it and to continue with the positive reinforcement training while always having ample treats on hand to practice. We also use a crate for him, which has been important both for giving him a quiet space and for preventing him from getting into things when left unattended. Louie is highly trainable and picks up new lessons quickly. We have been working with him on basic concepts as well as impulse control. He would benefit hugely from going to a more structured training class.

Louie is up-to-date on all his shots and will be neutered this month.
We adore Louie and are sad to rehome him. Due to an illness in the family, we are not able to give him the level of attention he needs and deserves. It’s important to us that he go to a home where someone is willing to put in the effort to work with him. If you are interested, please send an email to Jayati at Jayati.ramakrishnan@gmail.com.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON ARIES, PLEASE CONTACT ALEX AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

I’m 6 years old, very soft, and a bit vain. I don’t mind my picture being taken, and I even picked my very own name! I like pets on my cheek and behind my ear vigorously when I come near. I like it when people sing my name and call me a pretty girl! While I need some time when meeting new people, I’m not shy once I’m comfortable. I like playing with toys on strings and chewing on boxes more than other things! I love to sleep, especially under blankets and on top of vents to stay warm. But above all things, I love food the most. I like to eat throughout the day, so my auto feeder comes with me wherever I go! I like to be fairly low key and don’t really care for heights or windows, but I do love going outside in the summer on occasion, to eat the grass and bask in the sun. (Don’t worry, I never venture far! And have lived in an apartment most of my life). I would do best as a single pet in a home, with no other animals or very young children. While I tolerate large dogs, I get anxious or aggressive towards most animals, especially small dogs. I’m spayed, have all of my vaccinations and am a healthy girl! While I have hereditary herpes, don’t fret! It only causes “flare ups” that go away quickly, and happen only from high anxiety or a dirty bowl. You’ll see me cough like a tiny human, have a large lower lip or notice my eyes have boogies. Luckily, I’m rarely anxious! Just looking for a calm home to be loved and lounge in. Do I sound like the fur baby for you?

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON LUNA, PLEASE CONTACT JENNIFER AT THE PHONE NUMBER BELOW–

Hi everyone! My name is Luna and I’m 9 mo old indoor only kitty . I’m super sweet, affectionate, and social. I love to play with cat toys, laser (my favorite), and catnip kicker pillows. I’m very much a kitten, so I love being rambunctious, curious, and mischievous! Sometimes I can play a little rough if I’m too excited. I’m a “face kitty”, which means I throughly enjoy my whole face being rubbed and scratched. My purr motor is pretty loud and I like to meow and chirp at my human. I’m a lap kitty and will gladly sit or lay on you for some good loving. I’m ok with being held for short periods of time. I definitely do not like my belly rubbed.

I’m currently being fostered as things did not work out at my previous home. I prefer a low to medium traffic environment. If you work/school from home, I’d gladly keep you company and crash your Zoom meetings! I’ve been around a 2yr old and did ok, though I’d prefer older kids. I’ve had limited exposure to other animals. I might do ok depending on the situation and with  proper introduction. I’m a little nervous around men due to some negative experiences I’ve had. I have trust issues. I don’t like fast moving hands! I’m spayed, chipped, healthy bloodwork and almost current on vaccines. I need a booster shot in the next 2 weeks. I’m also litter box trained. I know my foster mom really cares about me and is being very selective. Are you a loving, kind, responsible person that would open your home and heart to me?? I’m really a perfect kitty!!

Please text my foster mom at 520-704-2037 to arrange a time for a quick chat. Her name is Jennifer. Thank you!
