Eve

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON EVE, PLEASE CONTACT ANNA AT THE PHONE NUMBER BELOW–

Eve is a loving 10 year-old blind tuxedo cat. She is a very sweet older girl who moves very slowly and takes time to learn her surroundings but, once she has learned her space, can easily find her food, litter box, etc. Since she is blind she can be easily scared by loud noises, active kids, other pets, etc. She would probably do best in a quiet home with no other animals, or with animals that will leave her alone. She is cuddly and spends a lot of time sleeping, usually preferring to have one or two cozy spots that are hers. A smaller home may be a great fit for her, so she can easily learn the location of rooms, stairs, furniture, etc.  We have a busy house with 3 kids and a younger cat and dog, and we would love to find a better home for Eve that is quieter. Our two other pets like to come play with her, and she gets a little freaked out by them. She does best with very calm petting.

Eve has a couple of health issues, some of which are related to her anxiety/issues with sharing her home with other pets. She has begun to aggressively over-groom herself and pull out her hair. We think this is partly related to her unease around the other pets in her house. Our vet thinks this is broadly reflecting her anxiety as well as potentially some allergy issues. She was also recently diagnosed with diabetes, but is not currently prescribed insulin. We give her diabetic food and that seems to help. The only obvious evidence of her diabetes is that she drinks a lot and pees a lot, but she uses her litter box and it just requires frequent cleaning. However, due to the diabetes diagnosis, we cannot give her steroid shots that could help with her skin/hair-pulling. So she is now pulling out large amounts of hair. We think if she felt more comfortable she would not be pulling her hair out at all.

She is fixed, up to date on shots, and has had regular vet check-ups. She needs a larger litter box that is easy to find and access, as she is a little overweight and she cannot jump very high. She is indoors-only.

We would love to find a good home for her to live out the rest of her quiet life. We can re-home her with a litter box, a cat bed she has liked, and a few other things. To learn more about Eve please call or text Anna: 206-418-9559.

-THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THESE CATS ARE NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON FUZZY AND HENRY, PLEASE CONTACT ORION AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

These two devastatingly handsome male cats are looking for a good home and a nice lap to cuddle on. At the ripe young ages of four, these two boys are litter-box trained, neutered, indoor-only, affectionate, and tolerant of small humans. They are best buddies and come as a pair. Fuzzy, the orange gentleman, has an affinity for eating, sleeping, and sitting somewhere on or near you. Henry enjoys his quiet time but when he warms up to you, you will find he has a lot to say and many cuddles to give. They lived with their previous owner for most of their lives until an unexpected move and are looking for a new home that is able to give daily attention and the occasional cat treat.

If you’re interested in adopting this handsome pair, please contact Orion at orion.schultz@gmail.com.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON MIKU, PLEASE CONTACT HIS OWNER AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Miku is a two year old Thai Blue Tip Siamese. He loves people, he loves going on hikes with his leash and he is formerly an inside cat, just beginning to venture outside on his own these days. He loves other cats and animals, but is not great with social cues (for example he will run up to a strange cat or dog to sniff their nose and try to play with them). He would do really well in a house with other FRIENDLY cats, dogs and kids. He is a ball of energy, he would play with you all day if he could. He’s not a kitten anymore but he still gets the zoomies, and when it’s time for his dinner he gets so excited he actually does back flips off the walls. He’s a wonderful kitty.
He does have a peeing problem! It is tied up with his relationship with my cat (she is very combative and territorial). If you want to be his forever home you need to have an understanding of cat behavior! I’ve been able to manage his peeing by redirecting him when he gets agitated by my other cats behavior but it’s a constant struggle. I believe that if he is in a home where he is not in a constant territorial war he will not pee. That being said, I will take him back if it does not work out. PLEASE do not drop him at a shelter or just give him away to someone else.

Please contact me if you are interested, my number is 510 646 3091 and my email is amdphrepaulezz@ucdavis.edu

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON SPUD, PLEASE CONTACT TRAVIS AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Spud is the sweetest cat I’ve ever had and is always happy to meet new people and find new smells. He’s happy to be picked up and cuddled and loves a good afternoon nap time. He can be very talkative and loves to be nearby, usually if I’m on my computer he is no more than an arm’s length away. He hasn’t been around any other animals since he was just a little kitten so I don’t know how well he would take to having another cat or dog around. He loves to play and has always been very gentle with me, if ever he did accidentally scratch me he’s been very quick to stop playing and say he’s sorry with little kisses and cuddles. He is 7 years old and neutered. Unfortunately, I am moving and cannot bring him with me. Spud is a simple cat with a lot of love to give and I hope he can find a loving home.

If you’re interested in Spud, please call or text me at 503-490-8514 or email me at travisdonrose@gmail.com

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER DIRECTLY AT chanellehughbanks@gmail.com FOR MORE INFORMATION*

Hello! I’m Koda! I’m a nine year old 17lb American Eskimo/Poodle mix. I am looking for my best friend. I’ll be honest, I may look like a dog but I’m convinced I’m a person just like you. If we hang out, you’ll find me laying at your feet, next to you on the couch, or cuddled up in bed with you. I LOVE people. I’ve been known to smile when I get really excited. Everyone thinks it’s adorable. Oh and I’m a pro when it comes to only using the restroom outside. I love playing fetch but also am completely cool just relaxing all day!

Because I’m so spectacular, my family is going to be quite picky about finding me the right family. I currently live with a crazy two year old and newborn but sometimes other fast moving kids make me a little nervous so I’m looking for an adult only family. My mom imagines me with a more mature person or couple where someone possibly works from home with a more quiet lifestyle. My current home’s backyard shares a fence with a bunch of dogs and it stresses me out a bit and I can be very vocal about that. Because of that, I’m looking for a home with a more private backyard or even property! I should also mention that I’m not the best when I’m on a walk and see another dog. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE walks but when I see another dog, I just go a little crazy. I don’t hate other dogs though. Like I mentioned earlier, I’m a person in a dog’s body. I do pretty well with most dogs after a few minutes. Some I even enjoy playing with but, to be honest, I imagine myself being the center of your world. If that works for you, I’d entertain the idea of us getting a “pet”. I look forward to meeting you if you think I’d be the right fit for you!

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT STEPHANIE DIRECTLY AT srfjeld@gmail.com IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING BRUNO*

Hi, I’m Bruno! I arrived in Portland from Texas on April 16th. My new family here in Portland has a big yard, kids, another 1-year-old dog to play with, lots of treats, Kongs, and yummy food. We go on walks, car rides, and I’m even enrolled in dog training classes through the Oregon Humane Society! I’ve been a great student and the trainers love me! I love to play! I’ll bring balls right to your feet after you’ve thrown them far!

Well, sadly my new mom’s grandma has Alzheimer’s disease and in the short month she waited for me to arrive from Texas, her health declined and now requires more care. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for me. My mom feels
horrible about losing me but she is dealing with more than she can handle right now. We’ll both be sad but we have confidence that my next family truly will be my forever family!

A little more about me! I’m your typical pittie/boxer mix. I’m a year old and about 70 lbs. I’m full of love, loyalty, energy and strength. I just want to be near you all the time. Can I sit on your lap? Lay on top of you? Follow you everywhere… even to the bathroom? I’m a big boy so I hope you’re strong because I still tend to pull a bit on walks. My new mom uses an Easy Walker harness and that definitely helps. I’m neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines (next
rabies due in July), I’m established at Midway Vet, I have Trupanion pet insurance which can transfer to you if you wish, and recently tested negative for heartworm.

Here’s what I NEED: To help set your mind at ease, I’ve met with a behavior specialist and we got along great! She thinks I’m a great dog but do have a few requirements. She feels I’ll do best as an only dog or to be with an older stable female dog who will help me learn proper manners so that I can develop into “a gentleman and a scholar.” To set me up for success please no cats or other small animals. As you read, I’ve grown up with small children and I do
love them but I’m a big boy and may knock them over. I think 10 and up will suit me best! I’m crate trained but due to the pandemic, I was never left alone for long hours. My ideal home will have a schedule and lifestyle where I won’t be alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. We can slowly work to increase that time. I sleep in my crate at night with minimal protest. I also require your unconditional love, a large fenced yard to run, playdates if I’m an only dog, patience and willingness to work with me as I’m in the midst of adolescence and have a lot of learning to do (but treats and positive reinforcement work great!).

There will be a rehoming fee of $250, crate and a few other supplies included. If you think you are up for being my forever family, please contact Stephanie Fjeld at srfjeld@gmail.com and she’ll send you an application. Thank you!!!

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THESE CATS ARE NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON SOPHIE & BB, PLEASE CONTACT FANINA AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

Sophie (Tabby) and BB (White) are sweet sisters who have spent the first 8 years of their life with a loving family who has to move cross country and cannot bring them along. This bonded pair play, chase and groom each other daily and need to stay together through this transition into the next phase of life. They share one top loaded litter box (no mess!) and are very well behaved cats who never urinate or scratch furniture. They are spayed and are a healthy weight. They have spent most of their time indoors although love to go out on our patio supervised. They would love a yard to explore as they get more comfortable but are fine continuing being indoor kitties. They have never quite warmed up to our 4 yr old daughter so would prefer a home without small children or other pets.

Sophie is a super special cat who loves to cuddle and lay on you the moment you sit down. Instantly she purrs and curls up a ball and will stare up at you lovingly with the most beautiful bright green eyes. She tends to be more shy with new people and loud noises but warms up quickly. She has a chicken allergy so we feed both cats food/treats without that ingredient. She never scratches or has any bad behaviors and you can pick her up and hold her like a baby. Literally the sweetest cat you will ever meet!

BB is a cat with PERSONALITY! She is more like a dog and will hear your car pull up, greet you at the door with a twitching tail, follow you around the house and talk to you with all sorts of sweet vocal sounds. Very playful and still like a young kitten, she loves to chase her toys and jump and do impressive tricks. Also, very cuddly but on her own terms. BB has gorgeous blue eyes and is part Siamese. She is very curious with new people and will sometimes swat/scratch if not being pet they way she likes. Someone who has experience or patience in learning cat cues and behaviors would be good as she really will bond to her people but may take some time to do that.

For more information about adopting Sophie and BB please contact Fanina at faninapadykula@gmail.com or give me a call at 503-953-0084

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING ; ROGER IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON ROGER, PLEASE CONTACT DANIELLE AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

Roger is a super sweet 11 year old cat who wants to snuggle and sit on your lap just about all day, every day, forever. He loves to chase a feather toy, track the sunny spots across the room throughout the day, meow to tell you how much he loves you, and did I mention snuggling? He’s been with me for four years, but sadly I am moving somewhere I am unable to take him and have to find him a new home. He has food allergies, and is currently on a special food which is easy to order online. He is very talented at being a cat magician who sneaks other pets’ food when you’re not looking. He loves other dogs and cats, but exhibits territorial behavior about his litter box, and sometimes poops outside the box. In the times when he has been the only pet he has not exhibited this behavior. That, combined with his food allergies, means he will do best as an only pet. He has only ever been an indoor cat, and I am unsure if he would know how to protect himself outside. He has never shown much of an interest in going outside. I have not had him around children, but I think he would warm up in not too much time. He is just a sweet boy who never gets tired of being near you. He sleeps with me or my dog every night, sits with me on the couch whenever I sit down, and watches birds out the window. If you are looking for an affectionate companion, Roger is waiting to warm your lap!

If you are interested in Roger, please contact Danielle at danielleholtmail@gmail.com.
