Hi there! My name is  Uncle  Sam  – but my foster parents call me Sammy. I am a 9 year old, 65lb Cattle dog/Aussie Shepherd mix. I receive compliments all the time but these are my top favorites:
1. I am such a polite gentleman! I am very good with all walks of life (people, dogs, cats, and even the random squirrel or duck)
2.   I am very well-behaved on the leash! I will never tug, pull, or get sassy with other dogs when I am on the leash (or ever !). Sometimes my foster parents have to double check to see if the leash is even attached to my collar because I don’t pull at all! You pick the journey, I am along for the ride!
3. I know where the potty is! No need to train me on this one, I’ve got it down!
4. I know how to have fun ! Fetch and tug-of-war are my favorite games, this is when you’ll see me at my most energetic.
5. I am super soft, people are always surprised at how soft my coat is, which is great because then I get a lot of cuddles and attention.
6. I have the best puppy eyes in the world.
7. I never bark.
A couple more things about me: While fetch is one of my favorite games, I much prefer cuddles and snuggles. I love quality time with people more than anything in the world (hot dogs are a close second). Companionship is really important to me. I am also a bit achy – I love walks, but I don’t need more than a mile and some potty breaks throughout the day. Stairs can be a little tough for me at times as well. So fill out an application and let’s start our friendship together today! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

A dash of sugar, a couple cups of love and a lots of Beagle makes for the perfect pastry: me! My name is Katie Cakes and at 9 years young, I am still active gal with plenty of personality. When I am not in the kitchen baking, and eating away, you can find me playing a few rounds of fetch. My fosters say I am incredibly loving and really enjoy being around my people. And I don’t mind being around my doggy or cat friends either! Even though I am quite the spunky soul, I am still also a couch potato and enjoy getting comfy while we watch our favorite baking shows. Since I love being around my favorite people so much, I prefer to be with a family in a owned home who isn’t gone really long work days. More cuddle time for the both of us! Funny, adorable, and incredibly sweet, let’s bake a cake of love together today! Fill out an application so we can meet. I come to you spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped with an up to date dental with an adoption fee of $350.

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsea and I am adorable 5 year old terrier mix weighing in at 15lbs. I am a sweet gal with a cute face who is opening up more and more each day! Right now, the downtown hustle and bustle is pretty scary for me and I am looking for my foster or forever home to be in a more quiet area to help me see the city isn’t scary after all. I really like being around my people and even love playing fetch. Well I don’t have the whole “bring it back” concept yet, but I do like running after it. Maybe you can help learn how to do it? I have a few play pals here at Pixie and I wouldn’t mind a mellow dog in the home. Or I could be just as happy as your shining star! I’m blossoming a little bit more each day. That is why I would love to relax in a low traffic adult only foster home for a bit, so you can see the real me! Will you help this little flower to grow? Fill out a foster application today or email info@pixieproject.org for more details!

— THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT; THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT LUCY, PLEASE CONTACT JAMIE AT THE EMAIL BELOW–
Lucy is a sweet, loving cat, who loves to have her head scratched.   She purrs and drools if you do it right.   Recently, after her last check up, the Vet said she was the healthiest 15 year old cat he had ever seen.   She has always been around a big dog and regularly loved on by kids, however, she does get annoyed with too much attention from younger kiddos.   Lucy is on a prescription diet to prevent bladder stones, but the bag lasts for a long time because she doesn’t eat a ton.   We would love to find a loving home for her as my grandmother cannot keep her in the memory care facility she is moving into and we cannot keep her because we are in a rental that doesn’t allow cats…   If you have any questions, please email me at  jamersd13@gmail.com.   Thank you for considering.

Hi everyone! My name is Samson and I am a friendly and super cute ball of floof aka Malamute mix weighing in at 60lbs . You might notice I am missing something-well, 2 things to be exact: my eyes! Shortly after I was a young pup, I ended up developing cataracts which caused my to go blind. Long story short, I needed my eyes removed and man, do I feel much better! Since I have been blind most of my life, I heavily rely on my other senses and am easily able to adapt to new environments, but do need an owned home. I am such a friendly active oaf that loves being around friends. Whether its my doggy pals or humans over 10, I enjoy lots of pets and will reciprocate with lots of kisses! I am a little too interested in kitties, so none in my home please. When I am not enjoying some nice back pats, my hobbies include playing in the snow and playing with my favorite squeaker toys! Confident, loving, and down right hilarious, I am a handsome dude looking for my new companions. Will it be you? Fill out an application today, so we can meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello Hello! How do you do? My name is Nikki and it is a pleasure to meet you. As you can tell by my size, I am a 7 month old Great Dane who still has a little growing to do. I can be shy at first, but once I warm up I will lean in to get lots of back pats and love. You see, I am still a little nervous here at the shelter and the city is a little much, so I am looking for some rest and relaxation in a foster home! That way, I have a quiet environment to really open up and blossom into my full potential. I met other doggies here at the shelter and was very polite and I bet if there was a younger dog in the home, I would be down for some play time for sure! They might even help me to build my confidence too! I even stayed clear of the office kitty and could be with one too. Did I mention I absolutely LOVE fetch? You have to make sure you find a ball big enough though! My foster home should be an owned home in a quieter neighborhood with kids over 13. Are you ready to relax   and play together? Available for foster or adoption, fill out an application and email info@pixieproject.org for more details!

‘Ello! My name is Billy Piper, but you can call me Piper for short. I am a 2 year old Chihuahua/terrier with the cutest long legs. At about 12lbs, I may be small, but my heart is so big and full of love! I’m quite the spunky and boisterous gal who likes being active. Though I am still getting used to this bustling city thing, I would be down for some nice walks in a quiet neighborhood or even some hikes in Forest Park! Since I like being on the go, I do really well with energetic pups like me that like to run and chase. But at the same time, kitties are still kind of new to me and thus I am slow and patient with them. So a cat in the home would be just fine with me! I’m a very spunky, but can take a second to warm up to new people. But once I do, I am very playful and happy to meet my human friends over 8! Fill out an application today, so we can run off into the tardis for our next grand adventure together! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed with an adoption fee of $350.

A little bit sassy, a lot a bit sweet! Hi everyone! My name is Lil Bit and I am a cutie patootie 3 year old Min Pin mix weighing in at 13lbs. I have a lot of love to give and though I can be just a tiny bit shy at first, I quickly open up and give you the cutest full body wag you have ever seen! Though I will play with toys occasionally, I am more of a cuddle gal myself and really enjoy sitting on your lap while getting lots of chest rubs. I have met other doggy pals and do have play group here at Pixie, but I would prefer an older mellow pup or being the star of your show! I have lived with a kitty previously, so a dog savvy cat would be just fine by me. I also enjoy my daily walks with my human pals over 15. And at the end of the day? Well, it’s back to my favorite activity-snuggling! So if walks around the block and relaxing while watching some Netflix is your thing too, then fill out an application today,  so we can meet. No one can resist a Little Bit of me. They end up wanting the whole thing! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed with an adoption fee of $350.
