NED

adopted-stampNed Border Collie 1

Hey Everyone! Here we have Ned, a very handsome Border Collie who was rescued by one of our amazing fosters. He is such a lovable guy that he will be staying with her while we comb applications to find his perfect match, and we can set up a meet and greet for you anytime! Here are the thoughtful words and info his foster had to share about him:

NED:

Ned aka “The Stinging Neddle”, “Mr Ned” or “Nedders” is a Border Collie who is approximately 5 years old, male / neutered. Ned was found on a country road in Clark County, Washington. He was rescued and reported as a stray but went unclaimed. It was suspected by the people in the area, that he was dumped.

Ned has been with his foster family for approx three months. In that time he has demonstrated gentlemanly behavior by not chewing anything, waiting to be invited before getting up on the furniture, doing his “business” outside only and playing nice, for the most part, with the other dogs. He is gentle, alert , walks beautifully on a leash and is quite happy to lounge in his dog bed in the living room. In spite of having a longer coat, he does not appear to shed very much. It is unknown if Ned is good with small children but we know that his is good with kids over 7 years old.

Ned loves to roll on the grass and LOVES playing with Phil, a male dog that he appears to respect as his equal. He loves our two little dogs (one a puppy and one a senior) who love to climb all over him. He is prey driven and would not be good in a home with cats, rodents, rabbits, etc… Ned will chase squirrels if given the opportunity. Ned is not a very vocal dog

but will bark if there is a deer in the yard or if he thinks I’m going for a walk without him. When food is present, care should be taken if there is another dog in the same room. Ned doesn’t like to share and he will guard the food source. At times, Ned will be a bit stubborn about coming in from the yard and has to be lured with treats. Ned is a very intelligent boy that catches onto routines quickly. He would make a wonderful addition to any family or the perfect companion for a single person. If you have another dog, that would be great. In spite of a sometimes rocky start, Ned LOVES other dogs. You can see video of Ned playing with Phil, Bug and Lucy in the snow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8BBPBkDyLk

Two peas in a pod, peanut butter and jelly, sprinkles on ice cream like pizza and beer! Here we are! We just arrived and were double the cuteness double the fun! We are Sizzle Pie and Rebel. I’m Rebel and I’m the older and wiser of the two at 1 years old. Sizzle Pie is following my good examples at 7 months old. We’re a bit of a handful (literally) we both fit in the palm hands. We’re a tiny pair so you better keep and eye on us or well fall through the cracks or your couch   cushions. That being said we prefer to be the smallest kids in the house so no young children please. We are great with other animals. We’re ready to get out there and take the world by storm! Let’s grab a slice of pizza and take a stand for a good cause. Contact Pixieproject.org if you’d like to join us. We’re vaccinated and microchipped. Combined adoption fee of $350

Hello! I’m Gladys, a 10 years young Chihuahua. I have LOTS of hobbies including marathon napping, lap warming and I make a great little shadow. Im currently working on making a quilt. I do at least one crossword puzzle a day to exercise my mind and stay sharp. Today I went with my foster mom to the hair salon. She says it was one of the best hair cuts she’s ever had because I sitting on her lap the whole time. How sweet…. All in all I make a great relaxing companion and gal pal. I love reading books on the couch and nice leisurely walks while wearing one of my favorite sweaters. I have been known to fall asleep sitting up and I have a very cute little old lady snore. It’s dainty and precious. When I’m not relaxing I’m quite social butterfly, I love other dogs, cats and people. I like kids, but not too small, because I’m so petit. My favorite thing to do is to snuggle up on a warm lap or a spot in the sunshine. Zzzzzzz….. I’m vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. I’d love to be your girl. Hope to see you soon. Fill out an application at pixieproject.org so we can schedule a meet and greet. My adoption fee is $100.

Hi! I’m new to Portland. My name is Pumpkin. I’m a 3 year old female DSH who is ready to take on Portland. What a great place! Would you mind showing me around?  Where can I get a nice glass of warm milk? A clean litter box? Some cat nip? I’m pretty social so I’m excited to explore the city and make all sorts of friends! Being the new kid in town is fun, but I’m still looking for a permanent place to crash. Are you looking for a roommate? Someone to be sweet to? I make a great roomie.  I am clean, friendly and will always let you choose the TV channel!  I’m fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. Did I mention I am de-clawed?  That means you never have to worry about your furniture or your arms!  My adoption fee $100.  I am currently living in foster care and seem to be the perfect cat, but don’t take my word for it check out what my foster mom has to say:

“Just wanted to give you a little update on Pumpkin.  Wow, she is such a sweetheart!  She is going to make someone a great companion.  She loves full body rub downs and she’ll do somersaults and roll around so you can get every angle.  And she will nuzzle your hand like a dog to make you rub her head.  She just cant get enough, it’s awesome!  And she likes to cuddle on the couch and tunnel under the blankets.”

adopted-stampClinton in sun 1

Hiya! I’m Clinton! I came to Pixie at the same time as three other fluffy white pups, and for a minute there it was sorta hard to tell my buddies and me from a herd of sheep! But, luckily, one of The Pixie Projects many amazing friends (specifically Amber of Bow Wow Grooming Boutique) knew the trick to getting us goofy guys shorn so our personalities could finally shine! And boy, did they ever. I may have looked a little lamb-like before, but there’s nothing sheepish about me! Ya see, now that the wool isn’t covering my eyes, I love nothing more than trotting around, strutting my stuff, sniffing all the roses and getting to know this great new city. All I need now is a great new best bud who want to go exploring with me! Don’t get me wrong though, I also love my down time just as much as adventuring. My friends at Pixie will surely tell you I am a pretty cuddly guy who is good with other dogs but best in a home without children.  They will also let you know that I will need to attend puppy classes, because even though I feel all grown up at a whopping fifteen pounds, I am only one year old! I am neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccines. I am eager to meet you, so go ahead, fill out an adoption application at pixieproject.org! My adoption fee is $250.
