Bugsy-TX-1

Hello world! Bugsy here, the most beautiful dame in these parts. I am a 2 year old Rottweiler mix you see and I am just waiting in this casino called life for someone to take a gamble on me. I’m a bit of shy gal at first, but with some treats and some love, I open right up and beg for some more belly rubs. Since I  have some social sensitivities, I would need to be in a home without kids. I enjoy my afternoon strolls out on the town and would just adore a nice big hike in the woods every now and again, But mostly I just want to be close to you, baby! People over here at Pixie think I am the cat’s meow, even the actual cats! Speaking of house, this lady’s gams would love to stretch out in a nice house with a big yard. Due to certain rental breed restrictions, I need my future adopters to own their home. I do enjoy rompin’ around with my puppy pals from time to time, but I mostly just want to snuggle with you! I just think you are the bee’s knees. Of all the gin joints…I mean, dog rescues…you had to walk in to mine! All the clams in the world won’t buy you happiness like my heart will! So fill out an application today, so we can meet! I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $300.

Rex 1

I hear a lot of complaints about the rainy season, but I kind of like it.  The streets are a little bit quieter during neighborhood walks, and it’s a good time to be reflective and think about the pretty, warm days to come.  My name is Rex, and I am a thoughtful  and intelligent 40 lb  Lab mix  with a gentle soul.  New experiences make me a bit nervous at first  –  you could say I’m an introvert – and I will  need a patient family who will give me plenty of treats and TLC. I’m a youngster at only 1 year old, so I need puppy classes to further my socialization and education – I’m hoping to be a philosopher one day! I’m a bit scared of other dogs and cats, so one on one meets are best for me (no dogs parks please)!  Since I do need so much training, I’ll be best in a family with older kids so I can get the focus that I need.  Are you willing to give a boy  like me a try?  I promise to be your devoted, loving sweetheart!  Fill out the adoption application so we can schedule a meet and greet. I am fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped.  My adoption fee is $250.

Shirley 1

Surely you are looking for a girl like me, Shirley! Hi friends!  This fancy, prancy 6 month old lady is all Chihuahua. That means I’m sweet, cuddly, and oh  so adorable, but have a real diva  streak too!   I have a pretty elite set of doggy friends – no dog parks for me, thanks!  I do much better with one on one play sessions so I can make sure we share the same interests and taste in fashion (I buy all of my sweaters customized through Etsy). I love cats though, they are so clean and proper – we get along very well! I’m also a bit of a bad sharer with my chew toys, so I’ll be best in a home without real small children.  I am 6 lbs soaking wet which means I’m the perfect size for traveling and snuggling with you under the covers!  Since I am so young puppy classes will go a long way helping me with my basic manners and socialization.   What do you say?  Surely I am right for you!  Fill out the adoption application so we can schedule a meet and greet. I am fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped.  My adoption fee is $250.

Chucky

THIS DOG IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; PLEASE CONTACT OLIVIA  AT EMAIL BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION

Chucky is a loving boy who adores toys and people but will need a very slow introduction to other dogs. He does NOT do well with cats. Chucky does very well on leash and will need plenty of exercise and outdoor activity. Because of his size and energy level, he will  need to be closely monitored with children at first, but definitely has the potential to be a great family dog! But most of all, I just loved being cuddled and given lots of love! I need to be in a home with kids ages 10+ and without cats.   I am just a fun loving gal  whose radiance is exuberating wherever I go! Will you let my light in your heart? Casanova — a name that is synonymous with the art of seduction — a perfect name for a kitty like me! I am a handsome 4-year-old stud of a cat and I’m ready to fall in love with YOU! I am a fairly large boy with striking markings which include perfect eye-liner in addition to some spotting along my back and gorgeous green eyes. I am a very nice and gentle kitty that gets along with just about anyone. I have lived with other cats, dogs, and children previously and did wonderfully with all of them. When my former owner took me to get a blood test, they found out that I was FIV-positive, and since her other kitties were indoor-outdoor, she realized it would not be responsible to keep me in her home, as I will need an indoor-only home because of my status.  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, or FIV,   just means that I will need to be an indoor-only cat and that I will need to have regular vet exams to ensure that I stay healthy and happy. Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives just like other cats, and do not need regular medication or special food. For more information on FIV, check out this article from the Cornell Feline Health Center:  http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm.

I am handsome, I am charming, and I am ready to start my love story with you! Do you think we could be friends forever? Come by Pixie to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

George

THIS CAT  IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; PLEASE CONTACT BROOKE  AT THE EMAIL BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION

George is a nine year old cat who loves to explore, play, and cuddle. “Curious George” has been a nickname of his since he was a kitten. As of late, he loves to have outside time (he’s been primarily an indoor cat most of his life) on our deck and he pops over to our neighbor’s garden when he needs some peace and quiet. Since the arrival of toddlers to our home peace and quiet is something he has been craving a bit more of. He keeps himself endlessly entertained with running and jumping around most of the time and  tuckers himself out with all that exercise which leaves him to spend the rest of his days cuddled up in your lap or in a large ray of sunshine. He’s smart and social, making him an excellent addition to any home. George has lived with a black lab for seven years but hasn’t had too much exposure to other cats. For more information contact Brooke at  brooke.dc@gmail.com.

I am Jamison — the big, handsome, friendly kitty you’ve been waiting for! I am about 3 years old and am full of energy and personality. I am a very nice boy who is very tolerant around other kitties and would do great in a lively home with or without other pets.   I was rescued by a good Samaritan who cared for me for awhile before realizing that I wasn’t a good fit for her home only because she was in a small apartment and I’m used to a lot more space. The humans here aren’t sure how long I lived outside before being rescued, but I’ve made it pretty clear that I need to be either in a large home that offers lots of playtime and stimulation or in a home where I can safely go outside. I am very social and only took a few days to come out of my shell here at the shelter, so I’m confident that I’d do well as a family pet or in a home with lots of hustle and bustle. I can play a little rough, so might to best in a home without children or with older, cat-savvy kids. I seem to be extremely robust and am in great health — don’t you think I’m just the most handsome? Want to start an adventure with me? Stop by Pixie today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.
