Cheetoh is my name, and loving on you is my game! I’m a dangerously handsome 9-year-old de-clawed kitty that is very social and snuggly. So far here at Pixie, I haven’t met a person, kitty, or doggy that I haven’t met, and I lived with dogs and kids in my former home so it’s safe to say that I’m very well-socialized and would make a fabulous family kitty or companion. Sometimes I can be found cuddling up with my kitty friend Skipper who I met here at Pixie, and when people visit, I’m usually one of the first out to say hello and ask to be held! I do take my nap time pretty seriously, like most cats, but I will gladly be woken up for some attention. I’ve lived life as an indoor-only cat and I am de-clawed in the front, so I will definitely need to stay indoors, which is totally fine with me since it’s what I’m used to. As long as I have a warm couch to cuddle on, I’m a happy kitty! When I came to Pixie, they tested my blood since I’m a little older and discovered that I was hyperthyroid, which means that I need a daily, very affordable medication to manage my thyroid. Pixie always provides a few weeks of meds to get me started and will also provide me a dental and follow-up bloodwork to make sure my medication dose is helping me stay leveled, so the lucky adopter who gets to take me home will not take on any immediate medical expenses. Like any kitty, I’ll need regular annual exams and will need to stay on my medicine for life — there is a procedure that can be done which will cure me of my illness for a one-time cost of around $900, and the wonderful staff here would love to discuss that option with anyone interested in learning more. I think I’m more than worth it — just look at me! I’ve got the personality to go with the looks, so come down to Pixie and meet me soon! I can’t wait to complete my next forever family. I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT SWEETIE, PLEASE CONTACT KATHLEEN AT THE EMAIL/PHONE NUMBER BELOW

Sweetie is a 3-4 year old spayed, snuggly lovebug with an unknown past.  She recently saw a vet who states that, aside from her obesity, she is in very good health.  She is also current on her vaccinations.  Paperwork and tags provided. She is as clean as a whistle but was not one bit happy about the full bath she got when she was rescued (oh, the howls!).  The poor girl is so big she had a hard time cleaning herself so needed a little help.  She seems very pleased with the results. She has been in my home for two weeks after I rescued her from an elderly neighbor who recently had a stroke and can no longer care for a pet.  Apparently, Sweetie went to her home only four months ago from a craigslist ad.

Here are my observations of her:

Sweetie is a curious, playful girl and loves to sit in laps.  I don’t think she could get too much brushing (even on her belly) and appreciates chin scratches since it’s sometimes difficult for her to reach her head with her back legs.

We found a food she likes and she likes it A LOT.  She prefers to have mini meals through the day but I’ve been trying to get her accustomed to eating twice a day.

She most definitely should be an indoor only kitty.  Not only because of her size (and therefore lack of speed!), but her darling pink toes make me believe she always has been.

She has immediately approached and said, ‘œhello’ to every visitor to my home.  She is exceedingly social and grabs the heartstrings of those who meet her.

I’ve restricted her play while she is at this weight, but think if it were up to her, she’d have a never ending game of ‘˜catch the bumble bee’ (wand toy).  There’s also a favored mouse she likes to ‘˜stalk’.  She also enjoys her naps and quiet time sitting on window sills and watching the world go by.  She doesn’t hesitate to jump up and down on beds, chairs, sills etc., but the vet advises limiting the jumps down as this is hard on her joints until she reaches her ideal size.

I hope she finds a FOREVER home that will have plenty of time for attention, love and play for her.  She so deserves this.

P.S.  She has beautiful green eyes : )

Good afternoon! How do you do? My name is JR and I am a happy go lucky miniature poodle weighing in at around 9 lbs. At 14.5 years young, I am still an exuberant and excitable guy who is ready to meet everyone! I love going for walks around the block and hanging out with my other doggy and kitty pals too. In fact, I ran right up to the Pixie office kitty and gave her a huge kiss on the nose. I am just always walking on sunshine and full of spunk. I just recently had bloodwork and dental done and am a super healthy guy! I am looking for a nice retirement home full of cuddles and another mellow dog to hang with too. With a smile on my face and pep in my staff, I am ready to take   on the day and share my joy with you! Fill out an application today, so we can meet! I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $250.

Will real Slim Shady please stand up? Hey, that’s me! I am a super cute 3-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing in at 12lbs. If you are looking for a chill, quiet and cuddly guy, then I am your main man! I can be a little shy at first, but with a few treats you can tell I am a pup that is eager to bond and snuggle the night away. Since I can be a little sensitive, I would need to be in a low foot traffic owned home with no kids. I do have some doggy pals that I like to romp around with here at Pixie and I don’t mind a kitty in the home either! Though I am not much of a player with toys, I do enjoy my daily walks around the neighborhood. So if you are “cleaning out your closet” and realize that you feel a little empty “without me”, then fill out an application and “lose yourself” in my cuddles today! I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an  adoption fee of $300.

Hello everyone! My name is Missy or Missy Moo as they call me here at Pixie. I am a 12 year old adorable cattledog mix. Weighing in at 67 lbs, I am big love who is the downright friendliest pup you will ever meet. In fact, every morning during my potty walks, I am always eager to rush over to all the people on the sidewalk to give them a big smooch! Skateboarders, other dogs, people of all ages, and even those kitties too-I just love living life and meeting new friends along the way. Though I am a bit older, I am still very spunky and enjoying going on walks, short hikes, and as you can see, beach time really puts a smile on my face! After all the activity and adventures, I am ready to snuggle with you and any other furry friends who want to join. Happy go lucky should literally be my middle name as I don’t think it is even possible for me to sad. Life is just too awesome! And I would love to share it with you! Fill out an application today, so we can meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed with an up to date dental and an adoption fee of $350.

Hey! Hello! My name is Kevin and I am an energetic and stinkin’ adorable 9 month old Italian Greyhound. At 16 pounds, I am a little bit larger than most iggy’s, but everything else is exactly the same. Including those long legs that need some space and a nice yard in an owned home to run in. Did you know we can run up to 25 mph?! I am a puppy still and will definitely need to learn some basic manners, but I am extremely food motivated and a quick learner. I even already know “sit”! PUPPY CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION!  I am always excited to meet new puppy friends and play my favorite chase games. In fact, I really need another playful dog in the home that can keep me company as we romp around the house. In that classic Iggy way, I can be a little timid around new people   over 12 at first, but quickly come out my shell with the help of a few treats. Being a youngster, I am pretty interested in barking at kitties to try and get them to play, so I could probably be with a confident dog savvy cat. Of course after a long day of running around, it’s time to curl up in your lap under some nice warm blankies as we snuggle the night away. Spunky, hilarious, and cute, I am ready to play with you! I come to you micro-chipped, neutered, and vaccinated with an adoption fee of $450.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THESE CATS ARE NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THESE CATS, PLEASE CONTACT FRANCOIS AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

Meet Mufasa and Einstein! These two brothers are 5 years old  and have been living together in NW Portland with their owner, who is moving and recently found out that he unfortunately won’t be able to bring them with him. Mufasa (black cat) is outgoing and enjoys meeting new people, he’s always quick to greet people at the door and enjoys a nice back scratch. Einstein (tabby cat) is a quiet thinker, he’s a little shy around new people, but once he gets to know you he’s incredibly loving and enjoys cuddling up next to you. They enjoy wrestling with each other and taking long naps on the couch with their owner. They haven’t had a chance to meet any dogs yet, and while they are known to enjoy watching the game with the guys, it’s important to note that they have little experience around kids.

Living in NW has its dangers, so these two boys have lived inside their whole lives. They’ve become excellent watch cats over the years, keeping watch at the windows ensuring no birds or squirrels make their way inside. It would be ideal for them to stay indoors as this is the life they’ve grown accustomed to, and because they’ve been together their whole lives it’s important that they stay together as they move into their new home. Mufasa and Einstein look forward to meeting you!

If you’re interested in meeting these two wonderful cats, please email Francois at  fboulot@gmail.com.

Oh hi there! My name is Astrid and I’m an adorable fuzzy little 3-year-old friend who can’t wait to start my next adventure! I came to Pixie after living in a home with a family and a few other pets, so I’m pretty confident around just about anybody — humans big or small, felines or canines — I just want to be everyone’s friend! If I’m not busy with napping, I will usually be the first kitty to greet anyone who walks into the Pixie cattery. If you sit down, I will typically hop right into your lap so that you can pet me and fawn over me. I’m a very petite kitty, so I fit just perfectly in any lap! I’m a young and curious girl and am still very playful. Sometimes the staff will catch me playing by myself, and if you wave a wand toy in front of me, I’ll be all yours! I came to Pixie with a pretty bad flea allergy and so I looked a little rough with less hair on my back end than I normally should have. After having my regular flea treatment and a couple of weeks to recover, I’m already starting to look and feel much better, and my short hair in the back makes me look like a tiny black lion and really adds to my alread adorable character. I also came to Pixie with a friend from my former home, Flynn, and we could easily go home as a pair if you’re looking for two darling kitties to fulfill your family. However, as long as I got lots of attention I’d be fine as a single kitty and would also make a nice companion for a resident pet — just as long as I get adored regularly. Once you meet me, you’ll see how easy that is! Come down to say hello today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.
