*THIS IS A COURTESY POST* Katya and Marcel are NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT JOSHUA AT 510-384-7627  or jsafran@jsafran.com

Easy going. Good at learning their humans’ routines and adapting to them (usually are very quiet when you are sleeping, etc.) Both ok with a friendly familiar dog in the house. Probably would not appreciate a very chaotic or loud household environment. This pair is very well loved and we are happy to provide all of their gear to a new owner (cat beds, carriers, deluxe cat tree – which they really enjoy using, posts, various toys, a few cases of wet food and several bags of their favorite high quality foods, treats, scratching posts, catnip, 4 litter boxes in good condition, a few bags of the walnut litter they have been using, mesh cat tent, cat tunnels, etc).

Marcel (male) – very curious, regal. Loves to lay on the floor wherever his humans are and observe what they are up to. Likes to lounge nearby when you are working at your desk. Skilled at playing soccer with whatever small toys he finds. Likes to visit outside on the contained balcony occasionally.

Katya (female) – sweet, shy. When you win her heart she is very affectionate. A skilled hunter with her toys. Not as interested in being on the enclosed balcony as her brother is. Often likes to sit and relax nearby her human.

Bonded. Must be rehomed together. Requesting a rehoming fee of $150.

**THIS IS A COURTESY POST GIDEON AND GRAHAM NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT THE COLUMBIA HUMANE SOCIETY 10/26/2022*

These brothers are sure to steal your heart! Gideon and Graham are two VERY  handsome Maine Coon kitties who are about 5-6 months old. They came into the shelter after a very nice lady found them running around a local park when they were about 8 weeks old. How they ended up there we will never know as they appeared to be well cared for.

Gideon has a bubbly personality. He loves to play and cuddle, and will meow at you until you pet him. He also loves to give kitty kisses.

Graham is more on the shy side. He prefers to be pet when he’s on an elevated surface, but will jump up and meow at you until you thoroughly give him ear and belly scratches. He is as playful and silly as his brother, and they find creative ways to entertain themselves.

These two are a bonded pair, so they will need to be adopted together. Graham can be very nervous in a new environment. He will need his brother to rebuild his confidence, and a patient owner who can introduce him slowly. He warmed up after two weeks in his new foster home, and shows more and more of his personality each day. Both kitties adore the 65 lb Great Pyrenees mix who lives in the foster home. They have no fear of dogs, and are respectful of the other kitties who live in their foster home. A home with older children who are quiet and gentle with pets is best. If you are interested in meeting these boys we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet the boys. Please note the adoption fee is $150.00 per kitten. This helps cover the cost of them being altered, treated for fleas, treated for worms, fully vaccinated and microchipped.

*HANK IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT AUBREY breychristofferson@gmail.com  *

Howdy! My name is Hank Williams. I’m a 9 year old livestock/guardian breed, and just like the old Country musician himself, I’m a sensitive soul, a love crooner, sometimes lonesome, and nervous about cheating hearts. People always stop me when I’m walking and tell me what a Handsome boy I am; maybe it’s the permanent eyeliner I wear, who knows. Point being, I should’ve been a dog model… for like American Cowboy or something.

My ideal days starts with a morning butt-scratch, a nice walk around the neighborhood, maybe a trip in the car to run some errands (window rolled-down of course), and plenty of time to just lay down at your feet or by your side relaxing like best buds do. I’m super smart; my family likes to claim I’m so smart, I know how to play dumb. Hahahaha….oh wait, they’re on to me. I love to lay down… have you seen all those pictures of me laying down? It’s one of my favorite pastimes. I also LOVE people (like A LOT, like “jump up on you, lick you and croon” kind of love), problem is, no matter how many times I get told the crazy 5-year old I live with is a person, I just don’t believe them; children make me nervous and sometimes I get so nervous, I react in fear. So, I need a home and a life without children.

In fact, I need a quiet, stable home in general. Other dogs sometimes make me confused and protective. My family and I have worked on this on walks and on-leash and I’m VERY proud of how far I’ve come not being reactive, but I’m still not ready to have to share my home with them. I’m also convinced cats are just really big toys that like to taunt me and, I admit, if I’m off leash, I will chase them; I think it’s just a bundle of fun, but no nobody else seems to. Just between us, I don’t like transitioning to new spaces and it takes me some time to warm up to new places.

With that in mind, some things about you that would be best for me: you don’t work long hours (maybe you work from home or are retired) and you don’t live in an apartment or in the bustle of the city (don’t forget, I’m a country boy at heart!). Please don’t make me an outside dog, give me a solid fence to keep me in, and don’t leave me without you too soon. I promise I’ll reward you for you dedication. ‘Cause no one will love you as unconditionally as I do. Look into my soulful, sensitive eyes and you’ll see what I mean.

(Adoption Fee of $250 required – I come fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped)

*MARLEY IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT JULLIA AT julliaalexander@gmail.com FOR MORE DEATILS*

Hey there! My name is Marley. I’m a nine year old lab/husky/ridgeback weighing approx. 98lbs. I am a calm, reserved wise man with a soft and sensitive soul. Sometimes my puppy side comes out and I can be a playful and goofy boy.

My favorite place to be besides at your side is snuggled up on the couch or sleeping at your bedside. I am protective and loyal with the patience of a lion when it comes to small prey entering my yard. A home without cats and small animals is ideal. I enjoy walks but am quite strong. I will walk you if you let me. Someone with a confident, strong, yet soft and patient personality would suit me best. I also enjoy an adventure in the woods and the freedom to run on the beach.

Meeting new people is great once I get my initial sniff in. After that, feel free to give me your best scratches on the chest or tush! I enjoy the company of other dogs and am quite tolerant and respectful of size difference when it comes to playing. If I were to have a home with another dog, a strong and confident female who isn’t overly rambunctious would be the best fit for me. I love toys and tasty treats but can become cautious and weary if I think I have to share. Another dog who guards would not work. Small children make me anxious and nervous, so a home without children is a must.

Because I’m an older dog, my need for health-care will increase as well as the need for a home and transportation with my joints and I in mind. I have a granuloma (small open wound) that comes and goes due to excessive licking. This is something that I’ve done my entire life. A family or person(s) who has a stable income, commitment, and ability to keeping me at my healthiest and happiest is the owner for me.

If you’re looking for that calm yet goofy big softy, an companion whom will be by your side no matter what with the biggest heart, you’ve found him. And who knows, if I think you’re extra special, I just might give you a kiss.

I am currently on the wait list for a neuter.

My adoption fee is $400 with some refundable after the neuter.

This is Moe. When I found him he was very thin and had many skin issues. Some of his fur was missing and he was emaciated. I took him to the vet and he was given all of his shots, dewormed, cortisone injections for his skin, flea treatments and neutered. I have all of the records for these treatments. He is FIV+. The kitty is now fat and a healthy  guy. The vet estimated he is about a year old. For more information on FIV, check out this article from the Cornell Feline Health Center: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm

11/15/2022 *THIS IS A COURTESY POST* Tinker is NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT Cailin at 917-596-1864.

Hi. My name is Tinker. I am a genuine lovebug that wants all the cuddles and affection. In fact, it takes me no time to warm up to strangers. I will happily sit in your lap while you read, nap or work on your computer. I love cuddling with you at night and keeping you warm like a hot water bottle. I am around 2-3 years old, neutered and litter trained male, but still have the spunk of a kitten. I have lived with other cats, but big dog energy might deter me.

For more info please contact: Cailin at 917-596-1864.
