Chunk is my name, and word on the street is that I’m a very, very lovable 2-year-old boy who loves attention. I’m a teeny bit fluffy, and my fur is silky soft. I’m a very social boy that is always focused on my person and not shy about asking for attention — I even love belly rubs! If I need a little more petting, I’ll stand on my hind legs and give you a gentle tap or headbutt. Sometimes I can be a little chatty, sometimes giving a cute squeak and chirp at my people, toys, and cat friends, and my mew is small and high-pitched, not what you’d expect coming from my big, chunky body! Though I don’t mind lazy mornings lounging in bed, for the most part I’m a fairly active kitty that absolutely loves to play and am so, so much happier with another cat friend in the home to wrestle around with. I love toys, and will even fetch for you! I’m used to being totally indoors, but definitely enjoy a good window and would love a nice perch to view the outside world from. My ideal home would have another confident kitty like me that wouldn’t mind my pestering to play and cuddle, and a family where I could receive lots of attention, too! I’m not aggressive at all, just enthusiastic and active, and would make a great kitty for a family with children, and possibly a cat-savvy dog. I know I’m going to become some lucky person’s best cat-friend! Interested in getting acquainted? I’m currently in a foster home, so fill out an application to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Nettie here! I’m a totally social, out-going and go-with-the-flow type of girl that is around 12-years-old and ready to find my forever family. I am a super enthusiastic purr-er and will start purring when you look at me — I just love people so much! I always want to be nearby, and once we’ve become acquainted and I’m feeling really comfortable, I’ll climb into your lap for cuddles. I like to keep low to the ground and don’t get into too much, and I’m very well-behaved when it comes to my scratching pad and post, so I’m a fabulous apartment kitty and would be an awesome companion for most any person or family wanting a mellow indoor kitty. I lived with a small dog in my former home, and currently live with a small dog in my foster home, and I’m very patient with them. Since I’m older, a large, rambunctious dog might be too much for me, but otherwise I’m passive and happy to share my space. At my age, while I’m big on attention and being near my person whenever possible, I also spend a lot of time working very hard on napping and getting my rest, so someone who works full-time wouldn’t need to worry much about me being lonely while they were away. I was in fairly rough shape when I got to Pixie, but after a couple of weeks in foster I’m all healed up and I’ve had a dental done as well as blood work to show I’m currently in good health — and I’m ready to go home! Don’t you think I’m darling? I’d love to meet! I’m currently in a foster home, so fill out an application to meet me today. I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $80.

Beautiful Binx (black and white) and her sweet sister Tallahassee (smoke/grey and white) are darling 11-year-old sister cats who are awaiting a loving home to call their own. Both girls are sweet as can be, and don’t mind lots of cuddles and affection — as much as you can give! Binx is the more adventurous of the two and she doesn’t mind being picked up and held while Tallahassee will usually hang back and wait for her sister to be showered in attention before asking for some herself. They’re mellow couch potato-type cats that are very relaxed and low-maintenance, but can also get a little playful from time to time! These girls aren’t phased by much, although they’re not big fans of other cats — they are in love with each other, though, and can usually be found cuddling up together. They are incredibly gentle, however, and would do fine around respectful children. They adapt very quickly and are confident kitties that usually seek attention from new people and are easily pleased with a good chin scratch and a decent meal. These adorable, pudgy ladies are totally used to being indoors and would do fine in an apartment. Pixie has run bloodwork on us and we are both in the early stages of renal disease so we are currently eating a special kidney diet to help us stay healthy and happy for as long as possible. We aren’t picky, though, and are happy to eat whatever is left in front of us! We know there’s a wonderful person out there who’s looking for us, and we can’t wait to meet them! They are currently in a foster home, so fill out an application to meet they today! We come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for a combined adoption fee of $144.

Stunning, charismatic and classy — that’s me, Cassie! I’m an absolutely beautiful 7-year-old red and silver tabby kitty that is ready for cuddles! When I first got to Pixie, I was a little over-whelmed since I’d only ever lived with a single man who sadly passed away. I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks, and I’ve already opened up and am absolutely in love with receiving as much attention as I can get! Even though I’m a bigger gal, I don’t mind being picked up and held. I’m great with kids, though would probably prefer a relatively mellow home since that is what I was used to. I can even start to get playful when I’m in the mood! I’m a very quiet kitty that doesn’t meow much at all and that is also very tidy and low-maintenance. I’d adore a home where I could get lots of cuddles, but at my age I’m also independent enough that I can lounge around and keep myself occupied while you’re at work all day. I’m used to being indoors all the time and wouldn’t mind apartment life at all. Everyone who meets me just falls in love right away, and I know you will, too! Won’t you come by Pixie and say hello? I can’t wait to meet you! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Sugary sweet and bubbly, just like the soda — that’s me, Moxie! I’m an adorable and spritely little 1&1/2-year old girl with big, golden eyes with dark eyeliner that really makes them shine. I know I have a bit of a worried look on  my face, but I’m only concerned about where my next pets will come from and once I’m being showered with attention, I’m such a little love. Before I came to Pixie, I lived with an older cat and a dog, and am a very respectful girl that is well socialized both to people and other animals. I don’t mind sharing my space with other nice kitties like me, though I am also okay on my own. I’m a very gentle girl that is curious and playful like most cats my age, and I would definitely do well in a family setting with children, especially once I had a little time to adjust. Once I’m all tired out, I will curl up and purr, purr, purr while offering my belly for gentle pets and my chin for some good scratches. I was rescued as a youngin’ outside on the street but have been indoors ever since and definitely prefer the warm, safe, indoor lifestyle. I’m currently hanging out in the Pixie cattery and would love to meet you soon — won’t you stop by and say hello? I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Jelly-1

Hello World! I’m Jelly, a 4 month old, 20lb Lab mix puppy. I sure hope that you don’t mind hanging out with a wiggly, little love bug.  I came to pixie project a little bit afraid of the big city, but I’m getting more comfortable with my surroundings and gaining confidence everyday. Sensitive and shy; I would do best in a home without children under 10 years old.  I would do fine in a home with other dogs or cats although I would LOVE to be the center of your world. I’m  looking for someone with the patience to help me come out of my shell and be the loving snuggle bug I long to be.  PUPPY CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION!!!  Fill out an application today  so I can wiggle my way into your heart! I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $250.

December 30th, 2015

Adoption Policy Change for 2016: Pixie will continue to collect the full adoption fee for dogs after the completion of a two-week trial, but starting January first, Pixie will require a $100 deposit from adopters when the dog is taken home. This $100 is not refundable and helps to provide the behavior assessments, any necessary veterinary care, and personalized adoption services, and will be applied towards your adoption fee.

Meet Binky. Her “mom” has moved to assisted living situation and cannot bring Binky with her. Binky has lived in the same apartment with since she was adopted as a kitten 13 years ago. She has never been outside. She has no known health problems. She is shy and takes a little while to warm up to people, but once she does, she is very loving. She is a good cat, always using the litter box and scratching post. Even though she is 13 years old, she still loves to play with her toys.
