Hello! My name is Skippy! No silly, not after the peanut butter-though I am always up for a little bit of that in my kong.   But my name is actually because when I meet you, I am so happy that I skip across the room and into your arms! I am a 13 year old chihuahua mix hailing all the way from LA. I have had a pretty adventurous life and though I still love my daily walks, I am ready to settle into my new quiet home and get a little rest and relaxation with my new family. I wouldn’t mind having another kitty in the home, but I prefer to be the star of the show and only pup in the home. But my adult human pals are my real favorite, as I am the best darn cuddler this side of the Mississippi! I am very happy with attention of any kind and I am just yearning to be someone’s companion. I am just a sweet soul with a big heart that I want to share with you! Fill out an application today, so we can meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with up to date dental and an adoption fee of $300.

Are you one of the thousands of adventure junkies in the Portland area? If so, I would love to meet you! My name is Ricky (a.k.a. Ricky The Adventure Dog) and I am up for just about any adventure you throw my way! Think I am kidding? I even love kayaking! Take a look at my Instagram account and see for yourself! Because I have a lot of energy, I really enjoy endurance sports like backpacking, through hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and mountain biking! I come with all the adventure gear I need (snowsuit, hiking boots, wool & fleece underlayers, life vest, backpack, rain coat, etc.) If you’re not an adventure junkie, not to worry! I would also be happy on day hikes, having a nice yard to play fetch in or learning new scent games. I have been told by expert dog trainers that I would also do well with agility training or learning how to find truffles and other wild mushrooms! When I am tired, I will snuggle right up with you on the couch or on your bed and sometimes completely under the covers!

Now a few words from my super cool human mom: Hello & thanks for your interest in my current favorite adventure buddy! The decision to rehome Ricky has literally been the most painful and difficult decision that I have ever had to make. My partner and I have spent substantial time and money only to come to the heartbreaking conclusion, along with help and advice from seasoned and reputable dog trainers, that Ricky is likely going to be more happy in a home without young children. We have a baby on the way and have done our due diligence to figure this out before our baby arrives so that the transition can work out for us (ideally to have about a month to grieve and settle down) and for Ricky to transition to his best new forever home without the added stress in his current household.

Ricky will do best in a quiet home with an active person or two and without young kids. Mature older, dog savvy kids might be fine. He will do best being the only dog, but he does enjoy the company of cats who will let him be the boss. He has grown up with cats and even enjoys a good ruff and tumble with our cat Forrest. Ricky has some handling sensitivities and resource guarding issues but if you have a quiet household and you are a dedicated, gentle, patient human and eager to learn his idiosyncrasies, you will likely be a wonderful match and he will bring unending joy to your life! I will require a home visit and a re-homing fee of $350, half of which will be refunded to you after two in-your-home training sessions with our trainer. “Hey diddle diddle the cat and the Fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon.” In this case, I’m the Fiddle and I am a cute as all get out 2 year old Chihuahua mix around 13lbs. I arrived in Portland in pretty rough physical shape from Cali, but Pixie got me all fixed up and I have recovered beautifully! I am currently in a foster home with other doggies and I really seem to have a blast with them. And I am pretty scared of those kitties, so even a dog savvy cat would be ok in my home too! I am a pretty energetic guy who is excited to play! After all, I was on crate rest for awhile, so I am ready to get out and do some exploring. When I am not romping around with my doggy or human pals over 10, I am happy to settle into your lap and cuddle the night away. My foster said I would do best in an owned home and that I am a proper gentleman when it comes to being crated. But i could still use some of the basics as I am quite puppy like. Silly, sweet, and downright adorable, I am ready to start my adventures with my new family today! Fill out an application, so we can meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello! My name is Dahlia and I am a beautiful, glowing flower of radiance! At just 10 pounds, I am a 1 year old Chihuahua mix with a heart of gold and a silly personality to go along with it. I am excitable and playful, and am always down for some squeaker toy time! Like every other growing flower, I need the proper food, water, and a little bit of basic training to fully blossom until the well manner gal I was born to be. I enjoy my afternoon walks and running around the yard of my foster’s place. I need full sun for optimal warm temperature, but would happily substitute warm cuddles on the couch during those rainy days. I am always down for some play time with my puppy pals and wouldn’t mind having a doggy sibling! I am full of spunk and enjoying playing with my humans over 10 too! I am just a loving gal ready to blossom in your heart. Fill out an application today, so we can   meet. I come you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and spayed with an adoption fee of $350.

80’s dancing right into your heart is me, Baby! I am a 1 year old Terrier/Chi mix weighing in at just 7lbs. Though I am small, I have a big heart that is full of love to give to you. I can be a shy girl at first, but after about 10 minutes with some treats, time, and some salsa music, I am ready to burst into my confident, energetic self! You know what they say : “Nobody puts Baby in a corner!” Once we get acquainted, I am ready to start practicing our moves for the next dancing competition. I am a smart learner and very agile, so I am sure I will get the sequence down quickly! Speaking of activity, I always start off my days with a nice walk around the block or two to stretch my legs. Right now, y foster home is a bit outside the city, so an owned home in a quieter neighborhood would be ideal! I am always down anytime for a little fetch and tug. I am a young gal with a lot of energy after all! I do great with the other pups, though I can have a bit of a pushy playstyle and do best with smaller pups. A confident dog savvy kitty in the home would be ok too! I would much enjoy an active yet low foot traffic adult only home.  Adorable, sassy, funny, and oh so sweet, I am ready to have the time of my life with you! Fill out an application today, so we can meet. I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Just in time for a winter, how about nice warm bowl of Gumbo?! That’s me! I am a 2 year old Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound mix at around 12 pounds. I am pretty cute lad as I do say so myself and my underbite is super hilarious, and easily can make anyone smile! Being part Iggy, I can be a little sensitive at first, but warm up after some time and a few tasty treats. I seem to be pretty indifferent to my doggy pals at Pixie, but will become a little bit more playful once I settle into a home. Other than that, I am pretty mellow guy who doesn’t mind the company of even those kitties too. I seem to be a great walker and really enjoy my daily walks around the block! I would feel more comfortable in a home with older kids over 13 in a lower foot traffic home. Once I  warm up, I am a happy, fun guy who can be playful and very silly, and of course very cuddly. So let’s grab some good ole Southern comfort food and snuggle up on the couch today! Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, neutered, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello! My name is Old Little Dog (O.L.D.-get it? someone is really creative-ha!). I am a 9 year old Jack Russell/Rat terrier mix weighing in at about 13 pounds. Though I am a bit older, I am actually quite vivacious and have a wonderful spunky attitude! I may not be able to go for super long hikes, but I always get excited to greet new people and play with my toys. In fact, I will sometimes even “buck” from joy and excitement when being around my people. But those toys are my first love and some may say I am even a little bit too into them. Though I really just need someone to positively teach me fetch, so I can understand this “drop it” part everyone keeps talking about. I have met a few doggy pals here at Pixie and I don’t mind hanging out with another mellow spirit like myself. Since I am at that age of retirement, I would much prefer a quieter home with no kids, and someone who can still have brief moments of activity and play time of course! So what do you say, are you ready to play? Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, neutered with an adoption fee of $350.
