Beautiful Binx (black and white) and her sweet sister Tallahassee (smoke/grey and white) are darling 11-year-old sister cats who are awaiting a loving home to call their own. Both girls are sweet as can be, and don’t mind lots of cuddles and affection — as much as you can give! Binx is the more adventurous of the two and she doesn’t mind being picked up and held while Tallahassee will usually hang back and wait for her sister to be showered in attention before asking for some herself. They’re mellow couch potato-type cats that are very relaxed and low-maintenance, but can also get a little playful from time to time! These girls aren’t phased by much, although they’re not big fans of other cats — they are in love with each other, though, and can usually be found cuddling up together. They are incredibly gentle, however, and would do fine around respectful children. They’ve adapted quickly here at Pixie and are not very shy — they like to check out new people and are easily pleased with a good chin scratch and a decent meal. These adorable, pudgy ladies are totally used to being indoors and would do fine in an apartment. Pixie has run bloodwork on us and we are both in the early stages of renal disease so we are currently eating a special kidney diet to help us stay healthy and happy for as long as possible. We aren’t picky, though, and are happy to eat whatever is left in front of us! We know there’s a wonderful person out there who’s looking for us, and we can’t wait to meet them! Come down to Pixie and say hello to us today! We come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for a combined adoption fee of $144.

“I can show you the world…shining, shimmering, splendid!” Just hop on my magic carpet and let our adventures begin. My name is Aladdin and I am hilarious and handsome 9 yo Shih Tzu/ terrier mix weighing around 12lbs. Just like my Disney counterpart, I am friendly and happy go lucky guy with a big heart! You can’t really tell in my pictures, but I don’t have the best vision. My hair was so matted that I couldn’t see for so long and it caused me to have some chronic dry eye in which I will need lifelong eye drops. But wonderful people were able to get me all groomed up and looking  snazzy. From Aladdin to Prince Ali! A classic diamond in the rough! I wasn’t a fan of the eye drops at first, but with some tasty hotdogs and some patience, I am getting the hang of it! I am also starting to go on more walks now that the sun is starting to peek out. The volunteers say that sometimes I randomly stop, but they just pick me up and set me back down, and then it’s back to it! I have met some doggy friends and I am very tolerant, but I would prefer to be your one and only.  Overall, I am very outgoing with my human pals, but with my limited vision, I would do best in an adult only home. I found the magic lamp and am ready to make my final wish: I wish for my forever family! Fill out an application and we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with a recent dental and adoption fee of $350.

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER AT THE EMAIL BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS*

Daphne is looking for her retirement home. She is approximately 10 years old. We adopted her from the Long Beach Humane Society when she was 4 years old and do not have information about her life prior to us. She is a German Shepard mix- we think some cattle dog and/or Jack Russell.  We are sad to be rehoming her, as she is an incredibly loving and sweet companion. We are looking for a home that will offer her more calm and quiet, realizing that our current family life with a toddler makes it difficult for us to meet Daphne’s needs. She is a people person, prefers to be the only dog in a quiet house. She could integrate with a larger breed dog, preferably male; no other dog reactive dogs. Her ideal home would be with adults who spent time at home, large yard or acreage is best, low foot traffic as Daphne reacts to other dogs against fences or passing her property. She only needs short walks every day due to some mild arthritis in shoulders and hips; loves to sniff and hunt for squirrels. Dog savy cat would be OK. She is gentle with kids but will be happier in a family w/o kids. We are asking a $200 rehoming fee.

*THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT MICKI AT THE EMAIL BELOW*

Hi! My name is Eddie and I’m a nearly 7-year old Dachshund/hound mix weighing around 11 pounds. One of my favorite things to do is snuggle in next to you on your lap, especially if you also wrap me in a fuzzy blanket. I love, love, love balls! I love to chew on them, have you throw them for me, and I’m getting better at bringing them back. I also love to play tug-of-war with ropes, braided blankets and tugs. If you’re lonely, I’ll chat with you, especially around meal or treat time. I have a cute little chat and I’m certain you’ll understand every word.

I have great manners. I know sit, stay, and I’m learning lay down. I let my people through the door first, and I feel very comfortable on a leash.
I really don’t like to share your lap or your home with other dogs, cats or children under the age of 12. If I absolutely must share, I’d prefer to make friends with a confident cat who lets me go my way while they go their way.

People say I’m super smart! I learn new things quickly, especially when enticed with treats. I need someone who is willing to keep up on expanding my socialization skills with consistency and training as I get a little too excited seeing and meeting new people and pets. In fact, it would be best if I had a home that was on a quiet street so I can relax and not have to worry about people passing in front of windows all the time or lots of noise from the street.
I have some joint pain and anxiety, but with my meds I’m not as nervous, not in pain, and jump about 3 feet in the air off all four legs when I’m over-the-moon happy. I also have vasculitis which just means the edges of my ears can get crusty. I’m on an inexpensive, safe medication that has made my ears–one of my best features I might add–soft and supple.

I have so much love to give. I just need to find the right, forever, home. To inquire about me, please send an email to adopteddiefuller@gmail.com, or contact my foster mom, Micki, at 503-805-9305. Please leave a message if she doesn’t answer. If you’re interested in adopting me, please download and fill out a Pixie Project application and email it to adopteddiefuller@gmail.com. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $300. The adoption fee will be donated to training sessions with Denise at Behave to help ease Eddie’s transition. I also come with my medications and all veterinary records.

Oh sweet mercy! Look at that handsome pup Percy! At 2 years old and around 30 lbs, I am a spry scruffy Terrier who is ready to play play play! I have that classic terrier energy and am always on the go, whether it’s playing with my dog friends or exploring the great outdoors. I’m still new to a harness and have a tendency to pull, but I respond well to tasty treats, so I’m learning quickly! Always excitable and full of fun, I am very puppy like when I first meet a new doggy. I just want to romp around so badly! But not every pup enjoys that, so I would need an adult dog sibling in the home who has the energy to keep up with me but who also can teach me some manners. Don’t worry, I’m not bouncing of the walls all day! Once we go for a walk or play some fetch, I am always down for some pets and skritches. Since I can be a bit bouncy, I would do best in a home without kitties and with kiddos 12 and up. Scruffy, adorable, hilarious, and full of spunk, I am ready to get started on our adventures today! Fill out an application to set up a meet. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Mary (brown tabby and white) and her brother Stag (all brown tabby) are two sweet siblings that are around 5 months old and ready for a quiet, patient home where they can blossom together into confident, loving cats! Stag is an adorable little boy with a purr like a Harley motor – although he’s extremely shy at first and plays hard-to-get, he absolutely loves snuggling once he’s on your lap. Head bumps, nose kisses and ear nuzzles are his jam. Mary is a lovely lady that is a bit more independent than her brother, but still enjoys back scratches and is always very interested in everything going on around her. She’s a sucker for all toys, as his her brother, and both of them are extremely playful! Stag and Mary get along great with each other as well as other kitties and love to wrestle and rough house They also like to groom each other and their fellow foster kitties. A good round of interactive play with their favorite feather toy helps them overcome their shyness….when your chasing “birds” you have to go all in, after all! Both Stag and Mary are learning to love their foster mom and are getting more and more comfortable with people everyday, but they will definitely need a cat-savvy family willing to be patient with them until they fully adjust to their new home. These two sweeties may take some time to win over, but that can make it even more gratifying when they’re sitting in your lap purring and filling your heart with love. If you’re interested in this adorable pair, please fill out an application today! They are currently living in a foster home, and come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for a combined adoption fee of $243.

I am the strong, the beautiful, the majestic Mulan. I’m a resilient kitty with a big heart, and at 7-years-old, I’m ready to end my quest for a forever family. I lost my person when she passed away and was a little over-whelmed when I came to Pixie, though I’ve always been as sweet and gentle as can be — I just was nervous about all the new things after leaving the only home I’d known. But just like Mulan, I’ve really blossomed and found out what a warrior I can be, and after being in foster for a few weeks, I’ve found how easy it is to find love and make a connection with a new family. I’m a very quiet and polite girl, and when I’m feeling comfortable, I can still be quite playful! I will gladly greet my foster dad when he comes home and love to cuddle him whenever he has the time to relax with me. I’m the perfect age for a working person since I’m independent enough to lounge around when you’re at work for long hours, and I’m just snuggly enough to ask for lots of attention when you get home. I’m perfectly happy in an apartment and do not need a ton of space to move around — I’ve never been outside and don’t have any interest in any more adventure out there. I lived with another cat before, and wouldn’t mind a kitty that minded their own business as I will tend to do the same, but I definitely am totally fine as the only cat in the home as well. I’d prefer a quiet home, so children may be a little over-whelming for me. Think I’m something special? I know my perfect person is out there, ready to complete my happy ending! I hope you’ll come by and meet me soon — I’m currently in a foster home, so fill out an application to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Hello friend! My name is Sampson and I am a happy and hefty 5 yo Pit mix weighing 75lbs. I am a mellow guy with a big heart full of love to share with my new family! Though I am a big guy, I have a sensitive soul and sometimes can even be a little bit of a ninny meeting new pups. I have lived with a confident doggy in the past and we had a leader-follower thing going on which helped me build my confidence! I would be happy to enter the same set up with an older mellow and confident female. Or I would happy to be your only companion as well! No kitties in my home please. I am very people oriented more than anything and overall am just a great companion for my human pals over 10. Though I am more of a couch potato, I still like to occasionally play with my favorite squeaky toys. I would need and thrive in an owned home in a quiet area. I do have some food allergies that require me to be on a specific prescription food. For more info, please email Pixie! I love to give slobbery kisses and cuddles, and am eager to please. And I am so so ready to be with my forever people today! Fill out an application, so we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.
