I’m Bennie — Bennie the Bengal! I’m an absolutely stunning 10-year-old man looking for a new home and kingdom to explore. As you could expect from a man of my breed, I am very chatty and love to let you know when I’d like some attention! I’m a really social guy and very inquisitive, even at my mature age. Like a true Bengal, I’d love a larger space where I have lots of space to climb and investigate as I’m still very active and don’t show my age at all. I came to Pixie after my owner passed away and left behind myself and two other kitties. I’m very well socialized and would probably do great in a home with other cats and/or dogs, especially in a larger home and if I was given time to adjust. Though I am an active and curious guy, I also am a sweetheart and really crave human attention, often giving meows for pets when people visit Pixie. The nice folks at the shelter here have done bloodwork on me and found that I have no current health issues — they will also be providing a dental for me as part of my adoption fee, so all I need now is regular vet care like any senior would and a fabulous new home! Do you think I could be the right fit for you? I’d love to meet you! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $80.

-THIS DOG IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST; PLEASE CONTACT JAKE AT THE EMAIL BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS-

A very sweet, loving black lab/ pit terrier mix is in need of a calm and dedicated environment. She was rescued last year in Northern California after being found on the streets. She is 3-3.5 years old, weighs about 45 pounds. She is very timid and shy but loves to go for walks and cuddle up right next to you for a movie. She does not have a mean bone in her body and has never shown aggression towards any animals or people (she lived in a home with two kids as well as two dogs without incident).  She is on Prozac and will need to continue the prescription in order to make her life more enjoyable and comfortable. Due to her being a pit mix, she must go to a family that are homeowners. Her ideal environment: Quiet but interactive in training her and giving her the attention she needs. She is a wonderful dog who has the potential to thrive to the fullest with the combination of her medication, training, and lots of love. -THIS DOG IS NOT BEING PLACED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST; PLEASE CONTACT SEAN AT THE INFO BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS-

Kiya is sweet, intelligent, and full of energy. She loves to run off leash and explore!!! Kiya needs a lot of exercise. A big, fenced yard would be wonderful for her. She is incredibly intelligent and gets bored easily, this can lead to digging holes or jumping fences if she doesn’t get enough attention and exercise. Kiya does great at dog parks and on walks and is friendly with other dogs. She has not lived with cats. The perfect home situation for her would be a home with lots of available attention, a large yard, and a very active pet parent. Kiya would not do well being the only dog left home for 8 hours a day alone.

8 years old, 60+ lbs

I am very sad to be rehoming Kiya as I rescued her over 4 1/2 years ago from a very neglectful and violent situation. She has been a beloved member of my family. I am rehoming her as we are moving across country and she has an aversion to crates that would make it unfair to fly her and put her through that amount of stress. I will ask for an in-home visit at your house–a $50 rehoming fee applies. I am looking to rehome Kiya to a financially stable home that can afford high-quality food and, when needed, medical care. She has a tumor on her rump which I’ve assumed is a fatty tumor that we have not had the means to have checked out. i currently live in Portland, OR. We lived in Eugene up until 2 years ago and Kiya is an established patient at Healing Paws in Eugene. Please only inquire if you sound like a good fit for Kiya’s needs. You got a little something on you face, a little schmutz of something, a little Smudge…smothering you with kisses! Hehe! The name is Smudge and I am an adorable 5 month old Chihuahua/Terrier puppy with a guesstimated adult weight of about 10-15lbs. But for right now, I am a little pint size pup ready to learn more about the world and play with all my friends! I am hilarious gal who is exuberant and ready to explore. I have already met some magnificent doggy pals here at Pixie. My buddy Sammy and I just run around the play yard playing chase games. And I am even super social to those savvy kitties too. Since I am in a big phase of life where I am learning so many new things, I really need to be with   kids over 10. PUPPY CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION!  Toys seem to be my favorite thing right now, and I just love playing with those squeaker ones that the volunteers give me. I am a sweetie and my charming puppy antics are sure to make you smile! Fill out an application today, so we can meet! I come to you micro-chipped, spayed, vaccinated with an adoption fee of $400.

Jelly-1

Hello World! I’m Jelly, a 4 month old, 20lb Lab mix puppy. I sure hope that you don’t mind hanging out with a wiggly, little love bug.  I came to pixie project a little bit afraid of the big city, but I’m getting more comfortable with my surroundings and gaining confidence everyday. Sensitive and shy; I would do best in a home without children under 10 years old.  I would do fine in a home with other dogs or cats although I would LOVE to be the center of your world. I’m  looking for someone with the patience to help me come out of my shell and be the loving snuggle bug I long to be.  PUPPY CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION!!!  Fill out an application today  so I can wiggle my way into your heart! I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $250.

December 30th, 2015

Adoption Policy Change for 2016: Pixie will continue to collect the full adoption fee for dogs after the completion of a two-week trial, but starting January first, Pixie will require a $100 deposit from adopters when the dog is taken home. This $100 is not refundable and helps to provide the behavior assessments, any necessary veterinary care, and personalized adoption services, and will be applied towards your adoption fee.

Meet Binky. Her “mom” has moved to assisted living situation and cannot bring Binky with her. Binky has lived in the same apartment with since she was adopted as a kitten 13 years ago. She has never been outside. She has no known health problems. She is shy and takes a little while to warm up to people, but once she does, she is very loving. She is a good cat, always using the litter box and scratching post. Even though she is 13 years old, she still loves to play with her toys.
