Hello there friends! My name is Fred, and frankly, I’m a true delight! At just around 2 years old — and with one of the most handsome mugs you ever did see — I’m incredibly quick to charm just about everyone I meet! Even though I have the aesthetic of a body builder, I’m anything but a tough guy. I love to meet people and receive lots of pets and attention — I am a total ham! It’s really amazing how affectionate and calm I am, since I had a bit of a rough start to life as a stray kitty. I’ve luckily met lots of kind people in my life who’ve helped me end my life on the streets and shown me how amazing life as a house cat really can be, and I’m over that outside life! I’d do great in an indoor-only home as long as there’s a ray of sunshine to lounge in. I’ve never lived with little kids before, so even though I’m a gentle kitty I might do best in a home with older kids or adults. I’m a confident cat that seems pretty undisturbed by dogs, so would probably do fine in a home with a mellow, respectful dog as long as I was given time to adjust. I’ve had run-ins with some pretty unfriendly cats in the past, so being able to relax in a home where I’m the only feline friend is probably ideal. I have plenty of love to give, so you won’t miss another cat with me around! Though I am currently healthy, I have tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives just like other cats, and do not need regular medication or special food. I will definitely need to have regular vet exams to ensure that I stay healthy and happy, and I’ll need to stay indoors to ensure I do not spread the disease to other cats. For more information on FIV, check out this article from the Cornell Feline Health Center:  http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm.

Don’t you think I’m pretty close to perfect? I think we could be best buds! Fill out an application to meet me today, and let’s get acquainted! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

Due to the up-tick in adoption interest, we are currently very low on available cats. We are still taking cats in and reaching out to potential adopters who have submitted applications as they become available. For this reason, we will often have cats available that are not listed on the website. If you are interested in adopting a cat (or kittens), we encourage you to fill out our general adoption application and email it to info@pixieproject.org. As soon as we receive it, our adoption staff will get back to you within 1-2 business days, and should we have a kitty that is a good fit for what you’re looking for, we will be able to make suggestions and set up a meet-and-greet appointment at that time.

Hi there! I’m your old pal Doobie 2 Shoes – a gorgeous and velvet-soft 12-year-old guy who is a total sweetheart. I’m super social and love to be around people as much as I can, soaking up lots of attention and pets and charming everyone I meet! I absolutely adore being brushed, which helps keep my luxurious coat nice and pristine. It’s a really nice bonding experience with my person, too! I will climb into your lap if you’re settled down for a moment and nuzzle up against you, asking for more and more love. I lived with another cat before and am pretty low-key and respectful towards other animals so I’d probably do okay around another mellow cat or dog like me, as long as I had time to adjust. I have always been an indoor cat and am calm enough that apartment life would do just fine for me, but definitely sweet and social enough that I’d also do well in a home with a family and lots of activity — I’m definitely not shy! I love being the center of attention! And did you see my short little bob-tail — it’s just too cute and makes me extra special. Pixie has already run blood work on me and I am currently a healthy boy with no meds or special needs at this time. Don’t you think we could have a whoppin’ good time together? I think so! Fill out an applicaiton to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $80.

Hi there! I’m Lucy, and you’re sure to love me! I’m a very mellow, 7-year-old lap kitty that has big, round, beautiful green eyes and a nice short coat. Most of my time is spent lounging, which might be why I’m shaped a bit like a potato — but I don’t mind! Everyone likes a full-figured girl, and my personality is sure to win you over if my adorable looks don’t charm you. I’m a quiet girl that prefers the company of people and will give little chirps asking you to say hello, or feed me breakfast! Most of the time, I’m content to just hang and be comforted with lots of pets and chin scratches. My former owner needed to go into assisted living, so I’m used to a quiet home where there was someone around to cuddle often, which is definitely my preference. That being said, I’m old enough (and like napping enough) that lounging comfortable while you’re at work won’t bother me. I’m used to being totally indoors and would do just fine in an apartment. I am definitely not used to living with other cats, however, so would prefer a home where I’m you’re one and only feline princess. I am healthy, sweet as honey, and ready to spend the next chapter of my life in a home with my forever person! Do you think that could be you? I hope to see you soon, so fill out an application to meet me today! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

My name is Frieda, and I’m a 5-year-old fluffy girl with a confident, quirky personality that’s sure to make you smile! Even when I’m in a new environment, I love to explore my space and sit on the window sill and watch the world outside. I’m a social girl that very much enjoys company and meeting new people, and I’ll happily sit and nap beside you or curl up next you at bedtime. I also love to play! My favorites are feathers, string and hunting little mouse toys. I’m used to being an indoor kitty, though I’m such a curious and playful girl that the more space I can have, the better! A small apartment might make me feel a little cooped up, but I’m absolutely fine being entirely indoors. When I’m excited or looking for attention I will politely chirp — it’s quite cute! I enjoy lots of chin scratches, head bumps, and brushing, which helps keep my coat looking gorgeous. I do tend to like most touching and handling on my own terms, however, and will give a gentle chirp or claw-less swat when I’m feeling “done”. As I get more comfortable, these warnings become less often — however, I would do best in a home without little kids and with someone who appreciates a teeny bit of sass in their cat! I’m impeccable with the litter box and love my cat scratcher, and am an overall easy kitty. I do eat a special Urinary food to prevent the build up of crystals, and am currently healthy with no meds or anything else needed at this time. I love my special food, so am very easy to please! I’m not a big fan of other animals, so a home where I could be the only pet is preferred. Do you think I could be your new best friend? I hope so! Fill out an application to meet me soon! I come to you fixed, vaccinated, and micro-chipped for an adoption fee of $100.

–THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING; THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. FOR MORE INFO ON CHEESEBALL, PLEASE CONTACT ALICIA AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–

This is CB (short for Cheeseball). He is about 2.5 or 3, fixed, chipped, and shots updated. About a year and a half ago, he adopted my husband and I from a neighbors house who had little kids and were not able to take care of him. They eventually moved and gave him to us. We bonded with him quickly. His nature is very sweet and he is very funny and playful. He is very affectionate and physical, loves brushes and pets, but not into being held, probably from being dragged around by little kids when he was a kitten.

The issue is that we are moving to Europe and we don’t think we can take him. It’s very sad for us but we are working hard to find him a forever home and perfect fit. He used to go outside and was an avid hunter, but he would get very very sick from being outside and eating animals so we patched him up and made the decision to keep him inside and he is doing great. He really needs to continue to stay inside. He is not safe at all outside. He invented the term “curiosity killed the cat”. Also, he ran away from a home with little kids to find us so we feel the best fit would be a couple or single or older gentle kids. He really need someone to devote themselves to taking care of him. I don’t think it will be hard to fall in love with him but of course I’m biased. If you think you are this person or people please contact us! We are really hoping to find him a great forever home. We will be involved in the process which I feel will make it a smoother transition for everyone.  He currently very content and being treated very well so we want to transition him to a similar home.

Smokin hot, this handsome pup is the best Brisket in town. Howdy! You heard right…the name is Brisket and as you can guess, I hail from the South-Texas to be exact. At 2 years old, I am a spunky energetic cattledog mix weighing in around 40 lbs. When I first got the shelter, I wasn’t feeling too good and after a quick de-worming treatment, I started feeling much better. That’s when I really came out of my shell and became much more of a pup than originally thought! So I am going to need some of the basics for sure and lots of commitment and stability, but I am very food motivated which helps with my training. A TRAINING CLASS OR LESSON IS REQUIRED FOR MY ADOPTION. Though I am quite boisterous, I also have a sensitive side and can take a little to warm up to new people. Thus, I would need an experienced adult only owned home in a quieter low foot traffic neighborhood or even a more rural environment. I really love to romp with my doggy pals and am currently in a foster home with a few. It is super fun and I would ideally have another female doggy friend in my home, but it is not required. No kitties in my home please. As you can see, I am playful for gent with a love of squeaker toys. Look how much they make me smile! Though I have lots of learning still, I am so worth the extra effort as we snuggle the night away on the couch. So grab the corn and the salads, but don’t forget the best part of every BBQ is the Brisket! Fill out an application today and we can set up a meet. I come you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello friends! My name is Professor Farley McSnaggletooth and I am here to teach you all about love and companionship while having silly adventures along the way! I am a mature 11 yo Chihuahua mix weighing around 12 lbs with a big heart. My thesis paper, “Using your Voice to Grab Human’s Attention” has been a big hit with fellow dog pals after being published in The Bark and Woof journal. But new evidence shows that the more I use my voice, the less attention I receive, and thus I get bored, and then decide to move onto my next paper. Something about the mental health benefits of sunbathing will do. After all, I do this on the daily anyways! Being a mellow guy, I do still have my playful side. Have to be with it and hip for all the youngsters! When I don’t have an audience, it can make me a little blue, so I am looking for someone who isn’t gone long work days and who has another mellow dog friend who will listen to my lectures which vary from “ways to reach that itch” and “what exactly is a rope toy and how is it fun?” No kitties in my home please! I can take a second to warm up as I still get a little stage fright from time to time, so I would do best in an adult only quiet home owned by my adopters. At the end of a long day of talking, I am always ready to snuggle up to you on the couch as we watch some movies and catch some zzz’s. Silly, sweet, and one of a kind, fill out an application today so we can meet! I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped and neutered with an adoption fee of $350.
