Oh hi there! My name is Ehtel Mae, but most people just call me Ethel. I am a sassy and vivacious 8 year old rat terrier mix who is just too cute! Being a petite lady, I am only weigh about 8 lbs or so, which is perfect because I love snuggling a warm lap. Though I am a little skeptical about new people, I do eventually warm up to my patient adult friends who let me come out on my own time. My favorite activity is cuddling whether it be on the couch or curled up under the covers in bed or any other warm spot I can find, including your coat! My fosters even say that I tend to have a preferred person, but will never turn down a lap! I can be a little nervous outside in busy areas, so I would do best with in a low key quiet area. I am not a huge fan of cats and will tell them to back off, so I would do best in a home without them or at least a super dog savvy kitty who won’t try and seek me out. With my dog friends, I can be a pretty picky gal, but with a slow intro I will eventually warm up to adult mellow dogs my size (like my friend Toby who has since found his forever home). I can be a bit vocal at times, being a terrier and all, so I would do best in a house set up without shared walls with neighbors. I also can find any hole along the fence line, so a yard that is securely fenced is best. If you squeak a toy, I am always happy to join in a round or two of fetch. Silly and sweet with a dash of spice, I am a little gal with a lot of love to give! Fill out an application to set up a meeting with me today. I come to you spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped with an adoption fee of $350.

Hello, hello! My name is Prancy and aren’t I just fancy? At 9 years old, I may not be a kitten, but I still enjoy a daily romp with a toy and zoomies at dusk. My foster say I love the cuddles and will even sleep like my humans, laying my head on the pillow and snuggling right up to you. According to my foster, I am purrty darn cute and overall silly gal! I am low maintaence and chill kitty who is great health. I can take a little while to warm up to new sounds and spaces, but am definitely not people shy once I get acclimated. In fact, I would be happy to share my space with cat savvy older kiddos. I would definitely purrfer to be the only pet in the home so I can have all the attention to meowself. I would be a great friend to someone who needs a big spoon and light conversation, and would even make a great companion for a remote worker. Sweet and silly, I am a gorgeous lady ready to shower you with affection. Fill out an application to set up a meet with me! I come to you vaccinated, microchipped and spayed with an adoption fee of $80.

Hi there! My name Izzy and I am very sweet and adorable 13 yo Chihuahua. I am looking for a mellow home with lots of love and lap cuddles, oh and maybe some tasty treats too. I really really like food you see. A total foodie, if you will. If I could take selfies with my meals for the gram, I totally would. My dream is even to start a food blog. Better late than never I say! Though I grew up living with 8 other doggies, I am not a huge fan of sharing the spotlight. Another mellow male dog my age would be ok, but I would also love to be the only pup you share your dinners with! I would likely do best without kitties. I am a quiet gal and can sometimes switch from being a total velcro dog to a more independent lady who sleeps on my bed in the other room. It takes me a little while to warm up to new adult human pals as transitions are a little hard for me, but eventually I warm up and will even paw at you for pets. Sometimes I will even get a burst of energy and play chase games with you around the house! Though I couldn’t really do an apartment, a duplex or townhome with a little fenced yard attached to it with direct access to outside in a very quiet low traffic area would be best. The household I came from never really put harnesses or leashes on us, so we would much rather do our business by having you open a door and wandering in the secured yard versus walks down the street. What do you say…want to help me start my blog? I’m thinking of calling it Pupcakes and Woofles: A Dog’s Guide to the Portland Food Scene. Fill out an application today to set up a meet! I come to you vaccinated, spayed, microchipped with recent bloodwork and a dental and an adoption fee of $350.

Do I have the cutest underbite in all the land? Why yes, yes I do! The name is Fred and with my good looks and silly personality, it’s near impossible to resist my puppy like charm. At 4 years old, I am a Southern transplant making my way to the great PNW all the way from Texas. Here, I have already made a lot of new friends and am excited to meet more! Since I am still new to this area, I am still a little sensitive to busy environments and so I am not really one for walks right now. I would much rather hang in the yard with my dog pals or play some fetch in front of a nice warm fireplace inside. I am a very spunky Chihuahua mix who really likes to play with my fellow dog friends. My foster siblings aren’t into playing with me as much, so I tend to have to self entertain with toys and chewies. Having a playful dog in my home would be awesome not only because it would be so much fun, but also help boost my confidence and feel comfortable while you are gone for the day. That reminds me, I would do best in a home setup without shared walls with neighbors and a yard to run around in since I am not a fan of those walks.  My foster home does have some playful kitties residing there and I do pretty good with them. Sometimes I ignore them, and other times I am in the mood to play, so a confident at used to energetic dogs is key. I can be overwhelmed by lots of activity and noises, so a quiet home is ideal and I wouldn’t mind living with a dog experienced older kiddo over 13. Quirky and adorable, I am a affectionate kid who is happy to be by your side. Fill out an application today to set up a meet. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and micro-chipped with an adoption fee of $350.

One Bourbon on the rocks, please! Barreled aged to perfection at 2 years old, I am a silly and energetic catahoula mix weighing 67 lbs. Hailing from Texas, cuddling with me at the end of a long day of adventures is the Southern Comfort you need. Always in high spirits, my foster says that I really enjoy being outside and going for car rides, so I would likely be a great camping and hiking companion. I just haven’t had the chance to really explore the PNW yet, and to be honest, the rain is not my favorite. I am a very social guy with my human pals over 12 and am a bit on the bouncy side. I know quite a few things already, but haven’t quite matured into the top shelf just yet and could always work on some extra training and skills. Right now, I am in an apartment and it is just not working out for me. I really need room to stretch my young pup legs and run around in the backyard with you, playing fetch. I do great with other dogs and can be a little rambunctious, so a dog who can keep up with me while also teaching me how to take breaks is ideal. No kitties in my home please! I am full of charm and my goofy antics turn any frown upside down. Don’t worry though! I am not always about running around and am more than happy to have some snuggle times too. I will even put my paw on your lap and just stare, waiting for pets…or any tasty food items you might have. Zany, fun and oh so cute (I mean look at my little chin beard), I am ready to start exploring with you today! Fill out an application to set up a meet. I come to you neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped with an adoption fee of $350.

*HAZEL IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY; PLEASE CONTACT SASHA AT alexandra.gor12@gmail.com*

Hello! Will you be my forever human?

I was found on the streets of Portland a year ago by a kind soul who has given me a wonderful home to recover from my tough life. My foster mom got me spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. But unfortunately, I can not stay with her forever.

I am about 4.5 years old Pit-bull mix. My foster mom has been calling me Hazel for the last 14 months, and I know and respond to that name well. I am super mellow and just want to be at my human’s feet all day long. It would be ideal if you are retired or work from home. I get anxious alone. I don’t jump or bark much, but I love giving kisses to everyone who walks in the house, including children. I have been told that I am a sensitive and bondable kind, so I need a strong human who doesn’t get anxious easily, as that can get me nervous too. It has been recommended that a home without young children present all the time will be best.

Right now I share a house with a cat, and we stay away from each other, and I gladly share my water bowl with her. But I do like chasing cats and squirrels out on my walk. I have a bummed leg so I walk slowly and rarely run. Because of my past, I get growly with other dogs. Not so much the little ones, but definitely the big ones. I respond great to positive reinforcement training, and am looking forward to attending a reactive dog class, if you want to help me get over my fear of dogs. For now, I need to be the only canine in the house.

Stairs are difficult for me. Few carpeted or concrete steps are fine, but a hardwood staircase is a big no.

After I got spayed last summer, I gained some weight and am currently at 78 pounds, but we are working on bringing me down to a healthier 68. I’m also working on my dental health, but it might be a long process to get my pearls to shine.

I will come with my beloved kennel, food bowls and everything else you might need for me.

The adoption fee is $350.

*SHELIA IS NOT A DOG BEING REHOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY. PLEASE CONTACT CLARENCE AT clarence.winsor@gmail.com FOR MORE INFORMATION*

My name is Shelia and I am a gorgeous 7 yo spayed cattledog mix looking for a new home. I am a sweet lady who is very smart and even knows a lot of tricks. My ideal environment would be a cat free home and if there was a dog in the home, it would need to be an older relaxed confident male dog. I would do best in a kid free home and ideally need a patient person who is in a stable regular day to day routine, without a lot of change or transition. I need a house setup where there is some space to roam since I am still an active gal. I am not really a snuggler and am more independent. I do love to play frisbee and fetch with you though! I also really enjoy my neighborhood walks. If interested in my adoption, please email my foster Clarence at the email above.

Gorgeous and absolutely stunning, my name is Kelly and I am a petite 5 yo Tortie kitty ready to settle into my forever home! Being a bit of a shy gal at first, it does take me a little while to warm up to new people. But once I do, I am your best friend forever and show my cuddlebug side. My foster even says that I like to spoon and will even grab her hand between her paws and rest my head on her hands. If you are a baker, well then you are in luck because I am quite the biscuit maker and you can here me purring away as I go to work. I still have some kitten energy left in me in that I love to play! From watching reflections and shadows on the wall to paying at dangly toys, I will playfully chase away. Since I can be shy in the beginning, I am looking for a quiet low key adult only home who has the patience to let me come out of my shell on my own time. I am not a huge fan of other pets and would prefer to be your shining star! When I am not in one of my playful moods, you can definitely find me napping away in a favorite warm spot. I will need some time to transition into my new home, but watching me blossom is so heartwarming and you can tell that I am ready to be someone’s companion. Fill out an application today so we can meet! I come to you vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed with an adoption fee of $100.
