This savory fellow goes by Vegemite, and we think he’s just scrumptious! Vegemite is about 1.5 years old. He is quite shy and sensitive, but a sweetheart through and through. He’ll cruise by to rub against your ankles, headbump your outstretched hand or foot, and invite you to stroke his sleek back and tail. When he’s sleepy and feels super safe he’ll purr his heart out as you scratch his chin and ears, massage his back and rub his belly. He sleeps on a towel at the foot of his fosters’ bed, and keeps the bed warm during the day when he’s not making his rounds. Vegemite also enjoys birdwatching in a sun-drenched windowsill so he can relax and observe the world. He is a clever kitty who is motivated by food, so you can use this to your advantage and lure him your way with a tasty Churu treat. Vegemite’s foster family reports that his litterbox use is immaculate, he never cries except when happy to see you (or his food), and has no interest in jumping up on or scratching furniture. They have enjoyed seeing him warm up and get playful, and will miss him when he’s found his furever family.
