**THIS IS A COURTESY POSTBernard IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. THIS IS A COURTESY POST ONLY 8/23/23

Hello friends, my name is Bernard. I was abandoned near Estacada. The neighbors have been leaving food out for me, but I’m ready for a new forever home. I don’t mean to brag, but I may be the friendliest cat you’ll ever meet. I love EVERYONE I meet and show it by purring loudly. I especially like pets, being held, and crawling up in warm laps.

Vitals:

  • Neighbors report that Bernard might be part lion, on account of his massive paws and long, silky coat. He may also be part mouse, on account of his high pitched meow.
  • Bernard is SO friendly that he has amassed a fan club. When Bernard is adopted, he will come with gifted food and treats and a monetary donation toward his next vet visit.
  • Bernard is neutered and estimated to be 10 years old. He has a happy demeanor and is very affectionate.
  • Bernard appears friendly with other cats. Temperament toward other types of animals is unknown.
  • Sometime between 2015 and 2023, Bernard was exposed to the FIV virus. He will do best among other FIV-positive cats or as the only cat in the household.
  • The humans who found Bernard treated him for a double ear infection and brought him up to date on vaccinations. Ears should be re-examined.
  •  He is FIV positive which means that he will need to be an indoor only cat. Learn more about FIV here: https://www.vet.cornell.edu/departments-centers-and-institutes/cornell-feline-health-center/health-information/feline-health-topics/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv).
