Hello! My name is Judy and I am a silly and gorgeous 1 year old yorkie/terrier gal weighing in around 15 lbs. When I first came to Pixie, I was pretty shy and it has taken me some time to come out of my shell. Though I still take a second to warm up to new people, I have already blossomed quite a bit and the staff have seen me become more playful with time! In fact, I have even made some dog friends that have helped me see that playing is a lot of fun. I can still get overwhelmed by puppy like “in your face” pups and am not one for the dog parks, but I do really enjoy some romp time with the mellow friends I have made at Pixie. Another confident doggy in the home might even help me gain even more confidence too! I really enjoy my daily walks, but the downtown traffic can be kind of intense. Thus, I am looking for a home in a bit of a quieter neighborhood that is lower traffic. I am not particularly vocal but I can be a little sensitive to things like loud noises or high activity areas, and though an apartment complex would not be ideal, a nice quiet duplex or townhouse would be great. Since I am a still a bit timid, older kiddos over 12 would be best in my future home. I met the office kitty at Pixie and to be honest, I was pretty terrified of her. I would most likely enjoy a cat free home, but I would be ok if it is a dog savvy cat who won’t bully me or try and play with me. I absolutely adore my human friends who I have warmed up to, and there is definitely a snuggly side of me! TRAINING CLASSES ARE MANDATORY FOR MY ADOPTION.
