Hi. I’m Jake! Jake the dog. Jake the adorable and hilarious wonderdog. What kind of dog you ask? Well, as you can see, I am a handsome Doxie mix of some sort! At 8 years old and 20 lbs, I am a plushy and lovable guy with a big heart. Though it takes me a second to warm up, all you have to do is break out the squeaky toys or some yummy hotdogs, and I quickly blossom! Speaking of toys, I just love playing fetch! I am still learning the drop it part, but the Pixie gals are teaching me all about it. They say I am a sharp cookie who is a quick learner. I am pretty food motivated of course, so it makes it that much easier—and more fun! I do enjoy my walks with the volunteers, though the traffic downtown can still be a little much for me. Thus, I would do best in an adult only owned home in a lower traffic area. I was with a single owner all my life and she unfortunately passed away, so I am really looking to be someone’s special companion again! I met the office kitty at Pixie and was very appropriate, so a dog savvy cat in the home would be just fine. Since I haven’t been around a lot of doggies, I like being your shining star and only dog in the home. Silly, cute, and eager to bond, I am ready to meet my new family today!
