“Zip-a-dee-doo-dah, zip-a-dee-ay. My, oh, my, what a wonderful day!” Hi everyone. The name is Zip and I am a hilarious and super adorable 3 year old Chihuahua mix weighing around 9lbs. Though I can be a tad shy at first, I am a pretty happy go lucky guy and come out of my shell pretty quickly. Pixie does know a bit about my past, and I even used to live on the coast and would go to the beach with my other doggy pals all the time! In fact, I love having a chance to run around and stretch my legs, which can honestly be a little comical since my back legs are shorter than my front ones. I do well on walks, but MLK is bit much for me with all the traffic and would be happier in a lower traffic area. Even one that is up a few blocks would be just fine. I seem to really love my doggy and kitty pals and grew up around both. Bigger dogs and those who are pretty pushy are pretty scary, but the ones my size are so much fun to play with. I am a pretty flirty guy and will play bow and yawn and make funny noises, anything to get my mellow friends to play with me. In fact, having a friend around really helps build my confidence and gets me to be my spunky self. I even know a few tricks and basic commands, including “sit” and ” lay down”, and have the treat motivation to learn even more! Once I come out of my shell, I get extra cuddling and love attention from my human pals over 12.
