I’m Tuffy, the totally adorable 11-year-old lady cat that enjoys sunrays, window-gazing and lounging in laps, soaking up the love and warmth of my human! I’m a little, light lady with big beautiful eyes and tuffs of longer hair around my ears giving me a very striking appearance — hence my name! You might think I look a bit wild, but in reality I’m a pretty mellow kitty that is adorable, soft, and affectionate. I’ve gone through a couple of changes in the past couple of years, being bounced around a bit, so while I am definitely a kitty who seeks attention and loves to sleep on you and rub my face against you, sometimes I am a bit independent and will do my own thing and will tend to let you know when I’m feeling social. This makes me a perfect fit for someone who works regular hours and is looking for a kitty who a perfect mix of friendly and confident on her own as well. I’m mostly pretty low-key, but like any cat will definitely get the occasional zoomies and can get into playtime especially with a dangly toy or catnip banana (who doesn’t love catnip?). It’s pretty cute when I get going! My foster mom says I’m a polite kitty who uses my designated scratching boxes and will sit quietly by the table when I’m hoping for an extra snack. Though I am a gentle cat and never hiss or scratch, sometimes I am still a little bit tentative about being approached and am not a huge fan of being picked up yet, so an adult-only home would probably be ideal for me while I continue to re-build my confidence. I do have kitty asthma that is managed with a steroid medication that I take as-needed, usually every other day or so. Pixie has provided a dental and blood work for me, so I am otherwise healthy at this time. I’m very excited to meet my forever person and become someone’s best friend!
