–THIS CAT IS NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT; THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT KATE, PLEASE CONTACT HELEN AT THE PHONE/EMAIL BELOW–
My name is Kate. I’m a sweet, petite girl about 13 years old. I have gold eyes and long black fur with white shoes on all four feet and a white triangle on my chest. I have a mild chronic palsy condition, probably a cerebellar dysplasia, that has not been progressive and does not require treatment. My head just shakes a bit but not all the time.
I’m shy but like to curl up in your lap if you will sit still long enough. I love naps in the spot where the sun hits a chair or floor. I’m calm and independent. I’m quiet but like to nuzzle your ankles as you’re getting my food, just to remind you that I appreciate your efforts. I’m an indoor kitty and small children or a dog would likely make me nervous but I’ve lived with another cat in the house and we are fine. I love my cardboard scratcher, especially when it has been sprinkled with a little catnip.
I have veterinary records of lab (blood and urine) tests from a year ago and my person is willing to pay for updated testing. I have been spayed, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV and have received a vaccination against chlamydia. I had a three year rabies vaccination in mid 2017 and I have been microchipped. I do not take any medications. My person, who is moving to a continuing care community, is happy to provide months worth of the foods I like, along with my favorite tent bed, litter box and toys.
If you are interested in meeting Kate, please call Helen at 503-791-4968 or email hwestbrook2860@gmail.com. Kate will only go to a very good new home so there will be no adoption fee.
