My name is Mia, and I’m a precious little 11-year-old de-clawed lady kitty looking for a lap to warm for the rest of my retirement. I’m a very quiet and mellow kitty, and am always welcoming when it comes to attention and pets. I lived most of my life with a very loving human who had to give me up when he got sick, and now I’m ready to find my next best friend to comfort and love. I’m used to being indoors and would make a really great apartment kitty — I’m incredibly gentle and would be a wonderful companion for a quiet single person in need of a companion. I love cuddling on the couch either on my foster dad’s chest, lap, or just next to him. I also thoroughly enjoy chin rubs and brushing, though I don’t seem to shed much. My fur is so soft! I’m a very well behaved little lady and don’t play with curtains or other furniture or jump up on things much. I like to hang out by you and patiently wait for attention, maybe giving a gentle and quiet mew every once in a while. Everyone who meets me is immediately enamored with my gentle demeanor and I’m quick to purr and look up at you with my big eyes, thanking you for your pets and chin scratches. I don’t really have much experience around dogs, but I have lived with another cat before and we did okay together. That being said, I’m perfectly happy being the one-and-only pet in the home and am definitely independent enough to be happy at home while you’re working. Pixie has already run blood work to ensure that I’m in good health and they will also provide a dental for me, so overall I’m a very low-maintenance kitty that will make almost anyone the most wonderful companion.
