THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING. RILEY AND DINI ARE NOT BEING HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING MORE ABOUT THESE CATS, PLEASE CONTACT THEIR OWNER AT THE PHONE NUMBER BELOW
Say hello to Riley and Dini! These two lovely ladies are in search of their forever home, and my family is heartbroken that it’s not with us. My husband and I adopted these girls from OHS, so prior to that our knowledge of their history is patchy. We know they’re very nervous, and would prefer a quiet, dog-free home where they are the only cats. They are also very LOVING, and since coming out of their shells, both girls regular sleep on my chest and wrapped around my head at night. That being said, they are not well suited to life with a rambunctious high needs 2 year old boy, and as such they’re regressed a bit behaviorally speaking. These girls just want someone who will love and respect them, and they’ll love you back forever for it <3
After adopting these cats, we discovered that Riley has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, or FIV. It really just means that she will need to be an indoor-only cat and that she will need to have regular vet exams to ensure that she stays healthy and happy. Cats with FIV can live long and healthy lives just like other cats, and do not need regular medication or special food. For more information on FIV, check out this article from the Cornell Feline Health Center: http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/Health_Information/brochure_fiv.cfm .
