Aloha Portland, my name is Sid, and I am a 45 lb, approximately 5 year old hound mix hailing from the island of Kaua`i. The Kaua`i Animal Welfare Society rescued me from the e-list on the island’s high-kill shelter, and I’ve been with them ever since. I am currently residing at Dogtribe doggy daycare in PDX. Though my life started out rough, as seen in my scars, my spirit shines through. I would like nothing more than to please you and give affection. Not to brag, but I’m a great hiking and jogging partner and I am very smart. Because I was a former hunting dog, I would like to be in a home without any small animals or cats. I do well with the older mellow dogs and female dogs. I am looking for a single person or a couple who leads a quiet and calm life and likes to enjoy the outdoors. Since I was rescued a year ago, I’ve been looking for my forever home; I desperately want someone to love who will be my family. Could you be the final missing piece in my life?
