My name is Sheldon and I am a gorgeous one-year-old, medium-hair, gray and white boy with yellow/green eyes. I was born in a junkyard to a feral mom, and rescued when I was about three months old. I’ve been in foster care ever since, being socialized and learning how to be a good kitty. Boy, have I taken my lessons seriously! I used to hiss if you simply looked at me, but now I’m just an average Joe who is a little bit shy but easily won over with treats. When I hear the crinkle of a Tempatations bag, or the pop of a baby food jar opening, I come running! I’ll even take the goodies from your hand or lick your fingers. I really like other kitties, especially those that will let me wrestle and snuggle with them. I have also lived with a small dog. She wasn’t the wrestling/snuggling kind, but I bet I’d get along with a doggie who is! I use the litter box and scratching post without fail. I have nooo interest in going back outdoors, and am happy to sit in the window and watch the world go by. Once I get to know you, I’ll enjoy being petted and brushed and will even lay by your side. I like to play with toys and go nuts over “Da Bird” wand toy. I also like to bat things around the floor, like balls and hairbands (but don’t worry – I don’t eat them). I would do best with older kids, because I don’t like to be chased and I can play a little rough with human hands. I still play “keep away”, so the best way to catch me is to get those treats out, pet me for a second, then gently pick me up. I have come a long, long way from my hardscrabble kittenhood, and I just keep getting better. Do you have a warm heart and just a little patience to help me go all the way? I promise I’ll make it worth your time!   Fill out an application at  pixieproject.org so we can schedule a meet and greet!  I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped.   My adoption fee is $100.   I am currently living in foster care.
