Hello there! My name is Bug (as in, I’m as cute as one!) and I’m a 9-month-old, short-haired little girl. I’m solid black with a few white hairs on my throat and huge, orange eyes. I was rescued from a junk pile when I was three weeks old and bottle-fed, so I think people are the bee’s knees! Unfortunately, my first family could no longer keep me so I’m looking for some new hearts to steal. I’m a biscuit-making cuddler who will make myself at home in your lap, whether you’re expecting it or not. I like to be petted and brushed, but not into belly rubs (come on people, I am not a dog afterall!). I have been around big and small dogs, and think they’re pretty cool. I was bullied by another cat in my former home, so I can be a little wary around them at first and prefer ones that are friendly but also like to wrestle. I use the litter box without fail, and am happy with the plain old pan with clumping litter. I know what a scratching post is for, but I do sometimes show my love by treating your pants like one. I have been learning to restrain myself and, if I slip up, just move my paws and I’ll get the message. Speaking of paws, I use mine like hands and will sometimes wrap my toes around stuff (like treats) to pull them closer. It’s my “thing”, you know? I love to play and can really get going with dangly toys and those mysterious red dots that scoot across the floor. I’m still young and feisty and I can be kinda rough on human hands, so would do better with older children. I’m very content being an indoor kitty, and don’t dash for the door or scratch on windows. I love, love, LOVE wet food, and will sing to you and rub against your legs while you’re dishing it up for me. If you appreciate a kitty that is good-natured and well-mannered with just enough zest to keep life interesting, have your people call my people and let’s make this happen! Fill out an application at pixieproject.org and we can schedule a meet and greet. I am fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $100. I am currently living in foster care.
