–THIS CAT IS NOT BEING RE-HOMED THROUGH THE PIXIE PROJECT; THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT PING, PLEASE CONTACT ERIN AT THE EMAIL BELOW–

Ping has lived the life of an in/outdoor cat for 6 years, starting in TX and now OR. He went missing for a couple months recently, got picked up by animal rescue, and the high volume cage facility may have stressed him. Upon return, a baby was handling him a way Ping didn’t like, so he ‘tried to bite’ (or as we cat-folk would say ‘warned’) the baby – but never broke skin. His dad also tried to give him a bath, which resulted in some ‘no thank-you’ scratches. His family thought their only choice was to euthanize, so our vet offered to to help him find a child-free home where he may perch wherever he pleases without being bothered, and where he can doing all his own grooming. He may even do well with behavioral supplements. We at the clinic have observed his snuggly side, but can all agree he gets grumbly from staying in the kennel – which is why he is being fostered in a staff member’s home. Since being in the foster home, he has been very playful and affectionate! Please email¬†emurphy.fvc@gmail.com¬†for information regarding Ping if you might know where he can live the rest of his healthy days.
