Duncan needs a new home, but he has a condition that will require lots of love and potentially forgiveness. If that sounds interesting to you, read on.
It’s complicated. He has gastrointestinal issues that are causing intermittent diarrhea. He has always used a cat box without issue, but unfortunately when he has a bout he sometimes gets a little on his feet and that can get tracked inside. We have a baby who is about to start crawling… it’s not a great combination, even as hard as we try to clean up after Duncan. He’s currently taking Prednisone, which has helped, but it’s unclear whether it’s going to solve it completely. He might need further testing (though we’ve already been through a lot of the tests) and trial & error, but we simply can’t do it—the testing, nor the wrangling.
He’s a very lovey guy who is otherwise healthy and cat-like. He was declawed in the front long ago, so he has to be indoor only. He gets along just fine with babies, dogs, and loves being held over your shoulder, but may have to be an only cat (we’re not sure how he gets along with other felines).
This is a really difficult choice for us to make. We adopted Duncan ten years ago. He’s part of our family and we would love to see him go to a great home. For more information please contact Rob at firstname.lastname@example.org.
